The All Progressives Congress lawmakers in the Ekiti State House of Assembly have threatened to report the crisis in the Assembly to the National Assembly.

The impeached Speaker, Dr. Adewale Omirin, said this on Wednesday during a chat with journalists in Aisegba-Ekiti.

“We have contacted the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Aminu Tambuwal, on the need to have an interface with us. They (Representatives) are reconvening next week and we will be there to state our own position. I believe something will be done over this illegality.

Why do we even have these useless 15 or so guys calling themselves "State Assembly". And is that APCer, Tambuwal still speaker when he's not with ruling party?

The Nigerian constitution, the way it currently is, has too many loose ends that need to be tightened. Some of them include independence of local governments and the state assembly.
