My brother it depends on the type or kind of job. Some pple are earning 20k to 30k per month and they are doing well with the runs in the placd, some even building houses and having their own car. It depends, just start the work first and see if you will look 4 another or not. |

If there is room for yearly promotion, why not? On a more serious note 30K is small, 50K would just be manageable. |

Bigloaf:lol @trusth in him. OP, far from being arrogant but pay no attention to these people saying you should start from "somewhere". Their socalled somewhere may be your own "nowhere" so to say — it's relative. Look into the job prospect & relevance to your field of study or prospective career path. Look into your current situation, strengths & potentials; be true to yourself. If it isn't worth it, I'll advise you don't bother. The problem with the salary isn't the 30k but what will be left of it. |

| Re: 30k Job Offer for a Graduate? by macklef(m): 9:59pm On Jan 08, 2015 |
@Op doing a 30k job wen ur expenses estimates over half of the pay is a capital NO!! Expecialy for a graduate, Pls its belittling. If actually its a job that kickstarts ur career in a particular profession, i could understand. But if its way outa ur career line, its Bull shit. |

Dainy1:Oga, listen to me, hospitality job is a high pay stressless job, that 30k is a stipend compare to what she will be getting as a tip, mark my word if she's customer friendly, she will be going home with nothing less than 120k as side from salary, I once work as a hotel supervisor but I stand to tell you that those receptionist earn more than our general manager. she's not in the system because if she is, by now she's not suppose to be thinking about the salary, because by the time she starts, that salary will be her tite for the month. will advice she takes the job and at the same time still apply for work the the computer which will be provided for her, in Abuja, front desk officers drives flashy cars even more than the guess....because the cash comes like oil money, because sometimes guest will deposit money and go for clubing, before they knew.....they will drink and sleep in the club and will not comeback, you will keep the money like one month you won't even see the dude........money na your own ooo |

My advice : it depends on where you are coming from , I mean your background and how you are currently making ends meet . I always have an advice for graduates , sometimes its not about staying at home or remaining jobless. we have all got different standards and passion . its simple man .... know your worth , know your passion , never settle for less. if it is not a job she will be happy doing , there is no point accepting the offer . |

Hmmmm,bn reading comments...bt u knw what?I bliv no one can advice u on dz, its ur personlal decision, u knw ur worth and wia u cumin 4rm. Some jobs can be destiny wasters even if dy cum wt high pays. If d job alligns wt ur goals I bliv u won't be contemplating takin it. So tink ursef bro, I once turned down a 75k job offer 2 pick a 30k one( I work 6hrs) per week tho...it all depends on u and ur aspirations |

You did not include feeding and other minor unforseen expenses. Its better you look for something else as you would put yourself into more problems if you take it. You have to be objective and be true to yourself. These people giving you advice here would just push you into something that is not sustainable. |
