na wa ooo....
Going by GEJ's speech, it means 'they' (our former Presidents and Heads of State) did not do anything tangible in their time.
it leaves a bad taste in the mouth to even think that GEJ made those comments; is government not continuous?
is it not the same Nigerian army that succeeded in peacekeeping missions in previous administrations that have so far failed to defeat boko haram?
i thought campaign is to say what you achieved and what you intend to achieve.
Why would a PhD holder stoop so low with intent to rubbish a 'semi-illiterate' 'Abok!'?

A tale of mere stealing is not corruption:
The President Goofluck Jonathan presidential
COMPLAIN train was in Enugu state for the
South East jamboree.
I need not bore you with the usual issueless
tirade of the Otuokean. But in the spirit of
"Stealing is not corruption," here is what went
down:
GEJ: "How much did Jim Nwobodo stole?
Money not up to the price of a peugeot and
Buhari regime send him to jail. Is that good
enough?"
The MUMU crowd yelled: Nooooo....!
Like GEJ, like PDP MUMU crowd!

The big question is how did Jonathan allow all these obstacles surface in the first place? It's normal to be faced with obstacles, the ability to face and conquer it makes a Man.

When you talk to most military personnel those who have spent more than 30 years on the job will tell you that talk of equipment and training, that era 79-85 was the best the military have ever had. There were training courses allover, though pay wasn't much but welfare was good, morale was up high and discipline was near perfect. In fact there were less undue favoritism and nepotism. However, the story and fortune changed from 85 till date. It is not in most cases about how much you have but in military how much you can maintain and utilize what you have, the so called way and manner that has been bastardized now when inadeqo people and tremendous positive results are expected.

In spite of the alleged non procurement of arm ( which I believe is a lie,) the country was safe and hostiles were kept at bay.

this is not a matter of someone being a decorated general or not. Tell Buhari to give a breakdown of how much he allocated to defence in his budget and also how much he spent on purchasing weapons as well as the number of weapons he purchased during his tenure as head of state. This is a democracy and there is no need to keep things in secret any more. There is need for insults, please.
While Buhari is at it... Tell Gej to prepare the breakdown of how the Military under him spent 4 trillion naira allocated to them in 5 years without any tangible result.

I will have you remember that Buhari did managed to defeat a terrorist group in his own time without 'buying a single rifle.'

Kindly re-read my earlier posts, u might be mixing my posts wit another. I never compared d present BH dat we hav to maitatsine riot.
I ask u & u need to be honest, ar u saying dat dis govt does not try to paint d opposition as those behind terrorism in Nigeria?. Even as of yesterday knowing dat MEND had endorsed d opposition, d president tried to sell dat same narrative by saying dat d terrorist MEND was paid to assassinate him. If it's not d opposition dat had just been endorsed by MEND dat sponsored d terrorist assassination plan who could it be?. btw prior to their endorsement of d opposition, GEJ had always defended Mend in dat bombing on independence day.
Guy I understand ur pain. It's not easy to accept dat it's happening. But if u keep an open mind u will see clearly what is happening. I'm not flippant & cold-blooded is d farthest word u can use to describe me. I wish dat dis govt will stop politicizing dis insurgency & giv d boko boys a good fight & save our country frm further pains. I am a southerner & a Xtian but I hate d subtle divisive vibes dat I get frm dis govt.
I read: you said it took just days to dislodge maitatsine. Is that not comparing this prolonged fight against boko haram with maitatsine?

Both the govt and the opposition have been painting each other as sponsors of BH terrorism. But try to recall how GEJ's govt came under attack severally from northern elders for "killing northerners". That should tell you why the fight fluctuated in the early days and allowed BH to prepare for what they are now doing.

And what is the opposition's response to another news that BH has also endorsed Buhari? We must be careful in order not to fall prey to mischievous elements who enjoy creating confusion in the country. Yes, GEJ denied MEND's involvement in the Independent day bombing and that was silly, but what about those who declared that the military's attack on BH was an attack on northerners? If you are blaming GEJ for the lapses in the fight against terrorism do so with objectivity by examining the roles of other stakeholders whose cooperation could have no doubt ended the insurgency in its early days. Lets move away from partisanship into neutral ground and see if the faults are not truly shared by both the govt and those now calling for GEJ's head over boko haram.

You said GEJ took advantage of the insurgency to set Christians against Muslims for political gains; what could be more coldblooded when that part of the country had been witnessing several Muslims vs Christians conflicts decades before GEJ joined politics?

You can only deal with what is before you. Maitatsine was the biggest of that time and it was dealt with. Nobody takes a leader whose stock in trade is excuses serious.

If you keep making excuses to your employer (who has given you all you need to succeed) for your ineficiency on your job, it would be wise for you to start looking for another job that would be less stressful for you.

GEJ has all he needs to succeed and he's being handsomely rewarded for it too. He should do the job or make way for someone else to try.

I think u just jumped on d post without knowing d context in which it was made. I was only correcting a poster who said dat Maitatsine riot took 5yrs & killed over 15,000 people & I said No, it's not so.
WHAAAAT! Did u say BH endorsed Buhari?. Such a claim is so outrageous dat all I can tell u is to stop getting ur news frm Okupe's Twitter handle. BH dat almost succeeded in killing d General?.
We need a Commander in Chief & not a Complainer in Chief. Leadership is not about making excuses & blaming d opposition but about rising to d occasion. dis is a very complex country & all nigerian leaders ar bound to experience challenges. OBJ had d Sharia agitations to contend wit. d agitations if not handled wisely had d potential of being a bigger problem because of its wider acceptability. I'm no OBJ fan, but he didn't complain & blame everyone else rather thru wisdom, tact, diplomacy & political sagacity he was able to neutralize d opposition & steer d country away frm d precipice. d leadership of Nigeria is not a tea party 4 all comers. We ar at d crossroads today because we hav a leader who has shown clearly dat he lacks d bandwidth to govern a country as intricate & complex as Nigeria.
Yes, we hav always had divisions but whether u want to admit it or not, dis is d most divisive leader in our history. #shame
