Please my 2006 Toyota Corolla shocks n break discs are bad and my mechanic advised to buy tokunbo pls any advice on this? This is my first car, thank you.

He believes tokunbo lasts longer than new.

If you can find OEM parts, you would be fine

Before you just start giving yourself problems, you didn't state the trim level of your corolla. I know corolla have CE, LE, XLE and S. For CE, LE and XLE they use same shocks, but corolla S use a sports tuned firmer spring struts. Corolla S struts shouldn't be used in any other trim models, and vice versa.
