What Will Happen To PRESSID And Youwin If Jonathan Leaves Office? by theoophilic(op): 10:09am On Jan 11, 2015
No matter what is said about President Jonathan, PRESSID and YouWiN are two programmes associated to his tenure and have helped many. YouWiN was said to be the most transparent programme ever in Nigeria and PRESSID was said to be purely based on performance and free of tribalism. Personally, I was praying to win the next PRESSID... But the doubt then looms: WHAT IF JONATHAN isn't reelectedhuhhuh?

Well, I see no scam in them. If you have your evidence, feel free to share...But until then, why not leave doubt out of this?

Please shut up lest you allow your ignorance consume you . . . . .Those schemes are capable of swelling the crucial SME sector unlike the promise of 5K almajiri stipends per month the APC is proposing . . . . .

Of what value has those two fraudulent programs brought to Nigeria other than waste of our resources to fill the pockets of party loyallists? All programs of Jonathan will be scrapped. Buhari's government will implement programs that will not only create employments but will put Nigeria back to the pedastal of greatness. Let me restate that those two fraudulent programs and others will be scrapped. Sai buhari 2015

Btw: I am glad that jonathanians are now coming to terms that defeat awaits their clueless leader.

Well according to osibanjo the money will be used to cook food for school children. Then after the eat it goes down the toilet and thats it.

It creates no employment or generates any revenue to boost our economy.

Thats APC idology.

You win ko, You loose ni or is it that SURE-P that is not even SURE. When the ppl's general takes the mantle of leadership from the cluesless one, programs that will be beneficial to all and sundry will be set in place which will be visible to the blinds & hear by the deafs.

As a maiden PRESSID scholar, this statement makes me very sad. I witnessed the merit based approach adopted for that PRESSID scheme despite the many oppositions it faced from retrogressive northern elements who unsuccessfully sought the inclusion of quota in the process. I remember the zeal for renewed academic excellence displayed by the NUC executive secretary during the award ceremony on Oct. 8, 2012, when he emphasized that scholars should devote themselves to imbibing the enabling cultures of the top 25 universities in the world when they get in there, and not fail to replicate such best practices and fully apply their learning when they return to the Nigerian academia and industry. I ended up not making use of the scholarship because of the other options available to me. Nonetheless my hope in Nigeria was rekindled by the emergence of such a program. It's really sad that you and your kind lack the capacity to see any good in those you dislike. Nigeria has a very long and difficult way to go. I rest my case.

Prior to this I was hoping winners of the two schemes comment... I wanted to be sure again that the information I have isn't wrong. Thanks. God bless Nigeria

I love this response...not everything GEJ is bad..

Some of his project should be continued if it is in the best interest of nigeria and nigerians should GMB win the coming election...

Don't mind them My brother. Only TANists want the sustenance of those fraudulent programs because it means an avenue to their selfish gain.

I really hope so too, brother... But it has never been the case in Nigerian history, national and state level, that the very good legacy of former government (especially if of different political party) be kept... If there is, its rare. So, I pray o

I can also speak about the transparent YouWIN program, as a beneficiary and participant. I certainly didn't win for the first few attempts, but after I got my business plan right, it was a smooth sail! No godfathers (or mothers) or government contacts of any sort! Just effort and prayers! I don't like GEJ, but let's have the decency to say the truth and applaud good things despite our political leanings! Hypocrisy often hides as activism!!

I just bring idea if u vote for jonathan for coming election, the average Nigerian is going to live in Sorrow nd tears while we keep listening to how billions of dollars keep disappearing from the nation's treasury with no probe. They are not!
I know at least 6 people from my set in school and previous sets who are currently schooling abroad sponsored by PRESSID.
Federal university lecturers who got admission for their masters or PhD abroad also get sponsorship from the government. I know a few too.

Who did this to the psyche of Nigerians?
Many people who have absolutely no connection with government or highly placed officials have won that PRESSID scholarship in particular, I can vouch for that one.
