This is absurd, why can't the General show his certificate? Does he have anything to hide? Did he enrol in the army with forged documents? If he does not have it, then he is gone. Military training cannot substitute civil education at any level. That is why he knows nothing about ruling a nation in civility, he can't succeed unless he has a gun in his hand.

Nigerians are asking your old general to show his certificate, he refused and you think that is not important.

The number of people jailed for corruption is not the only indices for successful anti-corruption fight

PointB:
It is the right thing to do!

We have a presidential candidate (Buhari) who claimed in an affidavit that his certificates are with the military? What kind of certificates? What about the copies? What effort has he made to retrieved them, especially since they are required by the constitution as only prove of having satisfied electoral law?

Most importantly what certificate did Buhari tender when joining the military? Did he write and pass his final secondary school exams? If not shouldn't he be strip of all he's (fraudulently) acquired in the military, and used as examples? If he indeed possess the document that he claim to have, Nigerians need to know. Affidavit is not necessary unless every effort to obtain copies of the certificate(s) prove abortive. Buhari is running a campaign based on 'saint Buhari' mantra, he should come clean on the certificate saga! Before it becomes Buharigate!

PDP going to court will surely enrich rule of law. Buhari can avoid the embarrassments and negative publicity by simply tendering the certificate.
#BuhariShowYourCertificate!
Buy your Statement it is obvious you are not a novice in law. At the same time I can infer you are no yet an expert. In law like life, there will always-'always always' be a way.

The constitution is very clear, a candidate must be educated up to "at least" secondary school level or its equivalent. Buhari CLEARLY surpassed the requirement. He was educated "up to" secondary school, aside that he was educated at post secondary school level through the NDA. Going further, he acquired other post-secondary education in the UK and USA War College where he obtained a diploma between 1979 and 1980. A confirmation from any of the post-secondary institution he attended or his secondary school will nail pdp's case. Again, the PDP's case will be thrown out
Something a lot of people here don't even understand is that, even a Non-Commissioned Officer (NCO) who may not have gone through or completed the conventional secondary school system, can rise through the ranks in the army to become a commissioned officer, especially in times of war. Through structured training the individual can rise to the level of a General. The question then is "Doesn't the education he has received depending on the types of courses then becomes superior to or at least equivalent to a secondary school education?" The key word here is equivalent. What form of education is equivalent to a secondary school education? Is the military education or training Buhari got not more superior to a WASCE?

This may be the question the court will answer..., that is if this issue ever gets to court.

GMB is a very disciplined leader. He complied fully with the electoral act 2010.

Neither the constitution nor the electoral act requires a presidential candidate to tender certificates.

The electoral act is very clear:

-(1) Every political party shall not later than 60 days before the date appointed
for a general election under the provisions of this Act, submit to the
Commission in the prescribed forms the list of the candidates the Party
proposes to sponsor at the elections.

(2) The list or information submitted by each candidate shall be accompanied
by an Affidavit sworn to by the candidate at the High Court of a State,
indicating that he has fulfilled all the constitutional requirements for election
into that office.

(3) The Commission shall, within 7 days of the receipt of the personal
particulars of the candidate, publish same in the constituency where the
candidate intends to contest the election.

(4) Any person may apply to the Commission for a copy of nomination form,
affidavit and any other document submitted by a candidate at an election and
the Commission shall, upon payment of a prescribed fee, issue such person
with a certified copy of document within 14 days‖.

(5) Any person who has reasonable grounds to believe that any information
given by a candidate in the affidavit or any document submitted by that
candidate is false may file a suit at the High Court of a State or Federal High Court against such person seeking a declaration that the information contained in the affidavit is false.

(6) If the Court determines that any of the information contained in the affidavit or any document submitted by that candidate is false, the Court shall issue an order disqualifying the candidate from contesting the election.

That is why I said the case will be thrown out for lack of merit. Pdp will be foolish to institute a legal suit against Buhari

You said the truth. Most Buhari supporters still see Buhari as a military man with all the power to do and undo. I pity them because Buhari is a bloody civilian who can not order even the ordinary citizens around any how in this present democracy. Buhari will be humiliated in a democracy as there will be no "yes sir", "all correct sir" and those ego boosting military stuffs for him.

My advise to Buhari is for him to quit politics while the ovation is still loud for him. Already his integrity is smeared for lack of academic certificate. His campaign is being funded by corrupt politicians and he is held in political bondage by his party.

The elections are over today. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. Unfortunately, Ayo Salami has been retired. I imagine what Tinubu and others will be saying to themselves now? Perhaps Kwankwanso would have been a better option. At least he would have since presented his certificates. The heat is already all over the North. While our SW brother are busy shouting sai Buhari, the North is seeking to make it impossible to conduct elections. Preferring rather an 'interim-government'.

Buhari is already over-burdened with a lot of damaging past that APC is finding it very difficult selling the change ideology.
