When dialogue or negotiations between an aggrieved party and the govt is to be made, such groups typically demand that a 'Respectable' snd trustworthy member of the society is present in the meeting as a witness... That doesnt mean the witness is a part of the group.

When MEND was terrorising Nigeria and the FG wanted to dialogue, MEND chose Prof Wole Soyinka as their intermediary. On several occasions then, Henry Okah even had to visit Soyinka in his home. Does that now mean that Prof Wole is a member or sponsor of MEND?
