What do you think of this... I actually manipulated it with a font I downloaded today

Good day my honourable professionals in the house! I'm into printing, and i've been so passionate about being a graphic artist for a long time, and i'm fully ready to start now, but i want to do it myself ( teach myself). Pls, how do you think i can go about it, and what are the necessary things i need to put in place to achieve my aim? Thanks

Thanks... I appreciate you passion for graphics and that is the first thing you need to start.. get yourself registered in any good graphics design school. and start appreciating the work of others in your Field. with time your knowledge will increase and you will start seeing defect in the work you use to appreciate when you were not a designer.
and always try to produce something out of everything you see because you are a virtual communicator. get your laptop of not less than 4gig ram. coreldraw is a good software for a start and also photoshop is perfect.... with time you will get to known more about InDesign, illustrator, fireworks, after effects etc. good luck

sorry bro but is corel draw better than adobe illustrator ..? im trying to get a program that deals with vector images,mostly web logos

illustrator is okay but coreldraw gives more details ... but the fact is, we all have software of choice.... try coreldraw x7 and see for yourself... I use illustrator also...

I believe this will help someone here... I want you to know that calendar is the easiest thing to do on coreldraw. this works on coreldraw x3 to x7.
Goto your menu bar- click on tools --- scroll down and click on Macro ---- select Run Marco wizard... in the pop up box you can select your choice of calendar.... thanks... pls don't insult me if you already know this.... God bless you

Corel paint x7 is an imitation of photoshop.. and is very effective for image enhancement... i advice photoshop fans to give it a try....
