Fancy the President and hiss ibo allies, I have to admit that this call for Local weapons manufacturing is a good one because we have a llot of deranged people in this country with most being musilims and we adherents of other faiths have to Protect our families and way of life from internal terrorists.

I think the mistake the President made was the way he presented his argument,he should have made a classified operation of his Government to see to the Local manufacturing and licensing of fire arms so that we don't have to go abegging to procure same for National defence and ssecurity.

This is just a case of misinterpretation.

Some of the negative comments I'm seeing here are completely unnecessary. From what I can read there, the president is just saying that we should be making our own weapons (and I agree).

I think the news headline doesn't really match the content. Topic should read more like "President Jonathan Canvasses Local Production of Weapons".
