Yes, we know some bad belle Nigerians, some of them can vandalise the stadium. What if the stadium wasn't built, won't they find another venue as campaign ground?

I think GEJ fight with Ameachi has cost him a lot. His Ego, his wife and poor advisers had made him loose one of his strongest ally in Ameachi. REMEMBER Ameachi gave him over a million votes last election, now PDP will most likely loose Rivers State in the governorship election, even if Buhari gains 20 percent of the 1 million votes this time from Rivers State. It's a huge plus for APC.
This is pure lack of strategy from Mr president. And I asked myself what is the cause of the fracas between them? Very little issue of the first lady interference in governing Rivers State, why not reign on your wife? Believe me this GEJ is tactless.

well the real reasons for Rotimi's action were
1: this said stadium was initially award to Nysome Wike, he embezzled the money and nothing was done
2: PDP criticism on the project ... why shld he abandon Liberation stadium and sharks stadium to build another one in ikwere land etc

if its just because of GEJ alone, Amaechi would have allowed them without qualms, but seeing Wike there hosting guber flag shall be an irritation to his site.

This is not an issue of APC or PDP. The governor has said the stadium is under construction, the issue of if this is true or not should not come in because he also has the right to approve or dis-approval the request.
The issue of forcing their way into the stadium should not arise at all.
Thought there was another stadium in Port Harcourt? Liberation I guess? Or is it the same stadium we are talking about?

They should apply for that one and if they are refused then we can conclude that Rotimi Amaechi does not want PDP to use any space in Rivers State.

It would be a PRO disaster for GEJ to forcefully hold his campaign at the stadium in question, after all Oyo campaign was held at Mapo where you have a stadium and was not used.

The show of brut force must be discouraged and GEJ should not be seen to encourage this most especially when the stadium is state govt owned.

@all, wake up and smell the coffee! If you think that they care about us and the drop in revenue, let APC fight for a reduction in salaries and allowances of members of the National Assembly! After all, 400 leeches can not be feeding fat on national resources ! That will be a better way of telling us of their future plans,instead of howling that GEJ ate our foreign reserves!

The main reasons could be that PDP don't want him to finalise the stadium before May 29...they plan to use the incomplete stadium as a campaign tool against opposition party APC. The desperation by PDP to win in Rivers State is high.
