U avoided stating who u voted for in 2007 when year adua contested alongside the clueless fisherman against buhari. @topic, its clear GMB wud win in Lagos state because of very palpable disenchantment with all GEJ represents and the formidable APC grassroots base.The fact remains that 70% of Nigerian electorates are the "commoners"and once u get them as GMB has done in many regions of the country, u are home dry. Its for the same reason I laughed when I saw GEJ on tv yesterday with the biz elite.Aside this people hardly vote,those that will have just one vote per person, which becomes insignificant in d larger scale of things. GEJ is like a dullard posted to guard a bank;people around him are manipulating him to gain access to the vault. |

ilugunboy:Close!! She said it was Buhari that said he'll make Nigeria ungovernable and even when I told her it wasn't him she kept on insisting. You know when you're trying to tell a child something and they put their hands over their ears and are saying "la la la la" that's exactly how it was. I said you need to read up and learn these things, her response was "Oga I don't want to learn", it was quite sad. That thing about "he will never rule over me" too was being repeated. She now said "as long as people don't fight if you lose". We said nobody is fighting, two minutes later she was talking about we'll take it arm for arm. It was just like ok who's advocating violence now. Another thing, I said GEJ had failed, she said no he hasn't failed that if I feel like he has failed me that well that's my opinion. NgeneUkwenu:GEJ will get nothing less than 70% votes from Lagos. The igbos make up 40% of its population. 50% of Yoruba will vote for GEJ while 99% of Igbos will vote for Him. I was in a public bus one day from my place to Iyana Ipaja. A yoruba lady in the bus started telling the passengers to vote for Ambode. A particular yoruba guy flared up and said over his dead body will he vote for Ambode because he hates Tinubu,he said he will rather vote for Jimi Agbaje because he likes him and he will vote for Buhari for president because he's a die hard supporter of him. Surprisingly,almost all the Yorubas in the bus supported the guy including the driver. Well I didn't join in the conversation because I just wanted to hear their conversation. My carpenter who came to my house to fix a bad furniture,watching one of APC presidential rallies said he will never vote for Buhari because he hates Tinubu. He said Tinubu will control Buhari just like he is controlling Fashola. He is a muslim and a yoruba. He said he will definitely vote for Jonathan. I think people will not vote based on the political party but on personality. |
