Google. Aloe Aborescens- Alternative Cancer Treatments- Cancer Tutor. You can follow up on cancer tutor to learn more about the effectiveness of these treatments compared with chemo and other othrodox treatments.I posted this earlier. Medical doctors are generally banned from suggesting alternative treatments so don't even think about consulting hospital doctors about this.

How is this different from trado-medicine and Eruwa-medicine?

“The patient has incurable cancer. Whether chemotherapy is worthwhile is unpredictable.

Generally if the patient is poorly and is not well enough to work, get out of the house each day, (performance status of 3 or worse), chemotherapy is likely to do more harm than good.

If his performance status was good, then I would want to know whether more detail could be obtained from the cytology of the cells in the ascites, or obtain a core biopsy from a deposit if a deposit is identifiable on CT. however

if the performance status is as poor as it sounds he is unlikely to benefit from chemo and it will likely cause more rapid decline.

Regards

B *****

Unfortunately, this is what I've been expecting to hear all along from the Nigerian doctors, so I really was surprised they are recommending chemo. I can tell you that you would be hard pressed to find an oncologist in the US that would even dream of chemotherapy for someone in DJ's condition. If he's too bad to undergo a biopsy, then he's most likely too bad to undergo chemo.

The chemotherapy will likely kill him faster than the cancer itself would. It is a lot of risk for little to no reward. If people decide they want to try for a 'cure' and be as aggressive as possible, then you'd best be understanding the risks. Not that if something happens now, we'll be back to the blame Tehn game again.

@ embolden, what then would you have us do? If Medical doctors are BANNED from suggesting it, who will give us an affirmative answer on whether to pursue that option or not? Who will treat DJ then, you? If Medical doctors can't be consulted on this alternative means, no need suggesting it because neither me nor you will treat DJ. It's still the medical doctors that will treat him.
@pickabeau....you asked me to suggest alternative treatments for you and the house to consider...I provided the link for you to get all the info you need...where did I vo wrong? @Ochon....if you had read the article you would've known no medical doctor or expert is needed to provide and administer the treatment. Don't ever close your mind that medical doctors always know best and are the only ones capable of dealing with health issues.

Its not to suggest a treatment
A treatment plan is needed which can be understood by everyone especially Hammed's brother and whomever will be mandated by the House to support and provide updates

Do you get now

so people should try an experiment on DJ based on a treatment that is not medically approved of?

Please so a little research on what Originalsy posted. The treatment is just blended aloe vera and pure honey to boost his immune system and help with the side effects of chemo. See review in the link

With what I have researched, stage 4 liver cancer is a terrible stage and chemotherapy won't help him much.
What I learnt was that he needs a combination therapy treatment of chemotherapy with sofernabine( couldn't get the spelling of the drug well) . he needs a radiation therapy and a surgery.
Surgery to take out the liver and get a donor for a new liver.
Chemotherapy and radiation to kill off the cells that have spread around his body.
He might also need a bone marrow transplant so his blood will be clean and pure and to reduce the likelihood of his body rejecting the new liver.

Even at that survival rate for a stage 4 liver cancer is 2%,
To make sure he survives I doubt if Nigerian doctors can handle this case or will we throw millions down the drain?
A times doctors in Nigeria won't tell you the truth even though they know the outcomes. Hope the chemotherapy is not just to take our money and resign DJ to faith?
His diet needs to be looked into, people about to undergo chemotherapy or undergoing therapy only take fruits and not just any fruit, specific ones.

l had hinted at arranging a counceling session severally but l guessed people missed the point or are just playing ostrich.
you may feel you are blunt though but a bit insensitive because even if you are right, its no proper reading it on the thread he follows.
l blame tehn in thus regards also for not taking the initiative to get a qualified person to councel him. l did hint at it a couple if times on this thread.
Finally, if we want to be sincere, chemo is not an option at this stage.
more alternate treatment plans is welcomed and please leave the tb joshua suggestion out of the options.

Why do you feel the need to throw us under the bus?
We reported that one of the reasons for delaying our update was because DJ had to be told/counselled by LCC doctors. What exactly do you think his doctors would have told him?

Com'on Jaybee, you can't let everybody and everything get to you. Pls learn to ignore some unwarranted criticisms. It's not easy I know but pls ignore.

Apology accepted but let's ignore blame game going forward.
This case has been challenging right from the start and the complexity is unfortunately persisting.

What we need to do is come up with a firm plan that's in the best interest of DJ. LCC offers palliative treatment which we will try and get details so it can be considered as an option before any plan is endorsed

sounds like a plan. l hope his mum has been availed of the donations and if palliative treatment isnt as costly as chemotherapy, can a more comprehensive empowerment plans be made to consolidate on quality of life.
