I wish Nairaland frontpage moderator, Jimi Agbaje and the APC well. I sympathised with Seun the promoter of Nairaland when the Nairaland server was crashed on the eve of the Ekiti gubernatorial election when the debate was very hot. This disrupted the monitoring and inflow of information untill after the election. It was very painful at that time. As an IT expert, I know the process of disaster recovery is sometime not easy.

Having said this, The kind of politics being played by a particular party in Lagos is too militant, crude and uncivilised. I wonder if this is the type of politics a cosmopolitan city like Lagos deserves. Politics started in this dispensation since 1999. Till 2014 December we have never had the type of lawless thuggery, open molestation and harassment of innocent and opposite political party like what we are witnessing now.

Last week Friday, between Egbeda and Iyana Ipaja, a particular political party with buses and trucks loaded of thugs firing guns blocking all the roads. Our vehicle and other vehicles on both sides of the roads were made to reverse back by force. What is more painful is the presence of law enforcement agent vehicles following them. Yesterday, at the event center beside Arch Bishop Vinning Church in Ikeja GRA, you see various thugs with various weapons while a popular Fuji Musician started playing to attract CROWD. Appointment at the church was cut short as the environment and the people do not reflect the urbane, suave and fine gentleman the gubernatorial candidate is known to be.

From Jakande era till Fashola era and even while Engr. Funso Williams was alive, Lagos has not witnessed this type of militant based political campaign of desperacy. Thugs of political party attacking without law enforcement agent doing anything. A lot of provocation is in Lagos. I believe OBJ made the first mistake that led us to this present state. Nigeria and Lagos will survive this uncivilized, crude and wayward era to a more refined society.

Election of 2003,2007 and 2011 are improvement upon previous ones in terms of decency and comportment. This could be a militancy based system of conducting election. Nigeria and indeed Lagos will survive and henceforth, we will never witness this kind of era again in our national life.
