Is Your Blog Powered By Wordpress? by Manuelcrc(m): 12:22am On Nov 25, 2011
Hi Everyone,

I've gone through a couple of websites I found here and I've discovered that most if not all are HTML-based,

My question now is: Is it that people are ignorant about WordPress powered blogs or they are just not comfortable with it? My blog is WordPress-powered and I can't seem to explain the benefits enough.

So I'm kind of surprised that people still pay high prices for static web pages.

I would love to know your take on this,

Thanks!

simple fact is that most people don't know about wordpress.what you don't know is bigger than you.also, for some php developers, they prefer using php to develop their site fully due to their taste even if wordpress is in php

The real question/isseue is between developing a site from scratch or simply using the Wordpress CMS.

My experience is that computer scientists and web developers are in the habit of labeling WP as insecure, hack-prone etc. The reasons are best known to them...or maybe, it's simply because they've got business interests to protect.

In summary, WP (or CMS powered sites) are as secure as the skill of the person behind their existence - so are sites built from the scratch. What is important is that you know what you are doing...

Simple.

This is very true bizfirst, Popular websites like CNN and BestBuy are based on WordPress...A website can only be as secure as the knowledge of the people behind them.

lol... I think you are only trying to be a smart ass! WordPress is "html-based"... it is only linked to a MySql database system n php coding... u only need it if u r going to be collecting data. such as user names and passwords (to name d most common ones)... but fundamentally it is nothing with HTML (n CSS)...

btw, WordPress is good for people who need d admin areas n can start writing long php codes... which is possible.

if your info is temporal static sites are ok too. as long as it is well coded... for seo.

you are using a blog... so, u need WordPress.. unless u want to writing new code every time u have a blog post... cheers...

also, anyone who need tutorials on php, MySQL (WordPress) can halla at me... www.tha247webguy.com
