Margaret Ekpo and Janet Mokelu were elected into the Eastern Assembly 1961 regional parliament.

They were the first Nigerian women to be made lawmakers.

yes, but lets face reality, can u vote a woman that is not in any way related to u, in tribe, religion, ethnic or otherwise as a President?

These women became lawmakers in 1961. How do youplace them as first.....when another woman had won election into parliament in 1960?
