Wishful thinking! The fact is that this kind of meeting should make GEJ and his supporters nervous. Rotimi Amaechi is a great strategist and a huge asset to the APC campaign. Sule Lamido is not really a solid Goodluck supporter and I am not surprised that he held this meeting with Amaechi.

what will Lamido gain if GEJ loses?
Nothing.
Buhari will have no need for him. They are very similar politicians from the same corner of Nigeria, they do not compliment each other. they are most likely to dislike each other. Buhari has more than enough bootlickers.
If Buhari dies in office, Osinbade/Tinubu is good for eight years, so the earliest Lamido would get a shot would be in 2023.
With PDP he stands a chance of getting the PDP nomination in 2019.

What would Amaechi gain if GEJ loses.
A lot.
He stands a chance to be the Buhari regime's point man in the South South.
(They could disppoint him a turn back to Tam David-North or a proxy of David-North).
On the other hand, if GEJ loses he would be on exile in Ghana.
