I use to say this and am still saying it that Soludo will be the best CBN governor Nigeria would ever have. Check his record CRITICALLY when he was at CBN compare to the former and the present CBN governor. |

Unfortunately, under Jonathan, politicians will not just let Ngozi perform unlike during the Obasanjo era when she was fully protected and given a free hand. Jona is so lily-livered! Like Pat Utomi said, technocrats have to learn how to resign if they are not making any headway in that government. The resignation itself could trigger a lot of desired changes in the way the government is run. Malaysia is a good example here. |

hedonistic:I don't think you read Soludo's write up. Please do. We do not read or take time to read in this country. Before you take sides, do your homework. Soludo was a blessing to nigerian economy and he is still a blessing. 57,000 banking jobs were created from his consolidation policy. Please go and read. |

olumite2014:Soludo was brilliant. Sanusi was also good. Huge funds may lead to massive mismanagement so you need risk management to manage the risk and that was what Sanusi did. Soludo envisioned and implemented a beautiful idea. They are both very good. |

In my view, there are three criteria for evaluating a public officer’s stewardship: the evaluation by his employer; the satisfaction of the public he served; and the hard facts of performance. As I will show on these three counts, I am convinced that I left a world record of public service, and a thousand Okonjo-Iwealas cannot re-write that history. I served Nigeria under two presidents (Obasanjo and Yar’Adua) and as my immediate bosses, below are their written testimonials of my record.Since the President he worked for didn't complain about his works and performance.... This is just a vendetta by NOI on his personality because she failed in her reply to the observation he raised but attack the messenger instead of giving response to the message |

This is the final bombshell. We must offer Nigerians clarity on the choices before them. Can I propose a three-way debate with you (representing PDP/Federal Government), nominee of APC (Utomi or Fayemi? or any other), and myself (as independent citizen— I don’t belong to any of the two). Let us have two bouts of debate between now and 12th February, 2015 focusing on: CBN/AMCON and the financial system (if you want); our economy and its outlook, and agenda/alternative paths to sustainable prosperity post elections. Choose the dates and times, and for the sake of Nigeria, I will fly in. You can invite any of your international media friends as moderators. NOI will never agree to debate her intellectual master |

Certainly, the international community (investors, bankers, scholars, donors, media, etc) took serious notice of the revolution in Nigeria’s monetary and financial system. I am recipient of five international awards as global and African central bank governor of the year, not to mention dozens of other recognitions (even after leaving office). The London Financial Times described us as “a great reformer”. Even as the global economic and financial crisis raged in 2008, the United Nations General Assembly appointed me to serve on the Commission of Experts to reform the international monetary and financial system. You don’t appoint someone who has ‘mismanaged’ his national financial system to reform the global system. For 8 years until 2012, I served on the chief economist advisory council (CEAC) of the World Bank, and together with two Nobel Prize winners in economics and other experts we met periodically and advised two presidents and two chief economists of the World Bank, and in 2011, I served on the External Advisory Group of the IMF. Again, these are not positions for ‘mis-managers’. Since I left office, I have been advising countries and central banks; and there is hardly any two months I don’t consult/advise on banking/financial and monetary policy. His CV is just intimidating Am sure this what NOI is jealous about that she has to attack him and not his message But, where did NOI got it wrong........ This is a woman that was the vice President of world bank sometime ago...... See how GEJ messed her up |

I think ngozis arrogance is the problem here. The crux of Soludos entire argument is the missmanagement of Excess crude fund and the Foreign reserve. We all remember how the Rivers state governor and other APC governors took the FG to court because they insisted on sharing the money from the excess crude account which Ngozi suggested be put in sovereign wealth fund. All the three tiers of government, including the APC state governors have been responsible for the looting of our excess crude fund and our foreign reserve. Ngozi should have resigned when the bureaucrats in Abuja stopped listening to her suggestions on Economic management. Now she's allowing this crook soludo, who allowed Akingbola, Cecilia Ibru and Francis Atuche run our or banking sector aground in 2008, open his mouth and attempt a comeback to relevance by soiling her name. We still haven't heard anything on the 20billion dollar NNPC audit. Ngozi hasn't stolen anything from Nigeria or Nigerians but her crime is that she allowed the thieves tie her hands and soil her credibility by remaining there while they looted the treasury and ignored her advise. She really should have resigned long ago. |

Soludo actually challenged Madam to a public debate. Am salivating already cos it will definitely be more heated and issues based than the debate between the "clueless one" and the "senile one".
