I dont know much about the Faculty of the Social sciences..Morgang n CleverJ,make una show here abeg...But my advise for you is that Sociology courses are the easiest to pass in the whole of Social Sciences UI..Eco and Geo are the toughest,so when u wantu borrow courses from the faculty and u cant read HARD,I MEAN STUDY REAL HARD,kindly go for Soc courses!!
You are goin to offer Argument and critical thinking(phil 102),and if u wish,u can also go for phil 101(Intro to philosophy)..Just study your essential Government textbook,and also constitutional development from the Clifford constitution of 1922 to the present one in use!!I dont know much bro,CleverJ and Morgang are gon shed more light on it when they come online!

In the faculty of the social sciences, most courses which non-majors offered are- Sociology, pols, and psyc.... geography and eco are mostly exception. Itz advisable for u offer these courses bellow-

pos111(compulsory 4majors)
pos112( If u'r gud in Nigeria constitutional devp)
pos114(required)
pos113(required)

psy105
Ges101(compulsory)
Ges107(compulsory)

outside d faculty courses to borrow-

All these aforementioned above are courses that are kinda stress free compared to the likes of Eco & geo.

Concerning the textbooks to read- u don't have to be in a haste to read that, sometimes syllabus changes. If possible, lecturers....

Pols dept was rated as one of the 2nd best dept in the faculty of the social sciences after eco; 20 Ph.d degree lectures, 6 senior professors... And professor OBC Nwolise is H.O.D of the dept of pols sci. Hopefully, he gonna take u guys on pos111.

The fear of Eco is the beginning of wisdom! be warned!!
