slimfit1:Not true, the oil business is never folding up, not for at least the next 50years and that's is if somebody can dream up some other energy source planet Earth can adopt almost immediately. At least 70-80% of the world's energy is dependent on crude, transitioning to another energy source will take more than 2-3 decades at the least. The oil industry has been known to be a boom or burst industry for years. It's driven by demand and supply, just like most businesses. The Saudi being the largest exporter of oil decided to flood the market with crude, driving down the price and intending to put the US frackers(they produce shale oil by fracking) out of business. The break even price at which frackers sell their oil is around $50 or so. As the price drops, production of oil by fracking becomes unprofitable. If the oil business is closing, why would Chevron Nigeria be renewing their license? Hmmm? |

boygeorge:This is why i hate PDP government. Danjuma's oil well was fraudulently acquired or gift from Abacha. PDP took over from the military, They suppose to revoke the contract and give Nigeria's oil well back to the Nigeria people. They have been shielding corruption and been deceiving Nigerians since 776bc. |

The fact is that even if only one person owns all the OIL BLOCKS or CEMENT in this country, he/she must still Leave this World one day.Hell or Heaven. Greed is what is killing Nigerians, still they cannot build a REFINERY in the Country. Vanity upon Vanity!!! |

bushdoc9919:Does all your explanations change the fact that northerners are in charge of oil blocks and that they detest the idea of regionalism? Does it change the fact that an average southwesterner is blindly yielding to the gimmicks of tinubu by trying to elect buhari who will reallocate the oil wells to his brothers in 2017? Do you think the nigerdeltans are ignorant of this plot? I advice again you go down memory lane and see how oil blocks have always been allocated. |

| Re: Nigeria’s Richest Oil Blocks Owners Exposed: Names & Detail by Nobody: 2:54pm On Feb 02, 2015 |
Thomsbuky:how many of these oil Wells belong to Niger delta people? The military leaders allocated these oil Wells to their friends and relatives and to themselves. Making themselves eternal billionaires. Meanwhile Niger delta is dilapidated and reeking poverty. That is improper. Jona has to remain and ensure those oil Wells will next time be allocated to the owners in Niger delta. The census is next year and the south population will be greater than the north's should Jona remain in power. The military rulers from northern extraction has been deceiving us that northern population is greater than southern population. That lie will be buried by next year should the census be conducted under Jona government. The north has been using this lie to gain more allocation and local government. This election is not any other thing other than snowing the north that nigeria is not for them alone. |

Tinubu needs an oil block, Okorocha wants an oil block, Amechi smells an oil block, Atiku wants the whole niger delta Just when obj entered that southerns made that list Tinubu- "Buhari,we will make you president if you give us oily toys to play with". Buhari- "no problem just get me there and come 2017 the names on that list will change". Dangote's whole worth is not even up to the value of one oil block and these are given out like thank you notes. Aaaaahhhh politics........ more than meets the eye |

That2:Lol, you don't know an igbo man, yes an igbo man may brag about it but you will certainly feel the money in his hometown. He must invest, give scholarships, maintain good road network leading to his hometown, give them water or security just for recognition then his people reward him by giving a chieftaincy title. How many hausa where empowered by these rich northerners with oil blocs? I bet they recruited them as gatemen shouting "rankadede" each time they open gates for the rich to pass while he drops 100 naira on the floor for his boys. |

bushdoc9919:This is the first time I am compelled to attack someone on this forum: and u know what? You lack sense!!! So northerners have been creative and going into oil exploration equipment manufacturing ![]() So Igbo/Niger Delta men marry more than one wife while Hausa/Fulani/Yoruba marry one wife right Mumu guy!! Read your write-up again, odeIf you don't know, since the civil war ended in 1969 and Igbo/Niger Delta people were all removed from top government positions in Nigeria, including the office of the presidency/minister of petroleum, Igbo/Niger Delta people have suffered mass maginalization and cheating in the hands of northern military heads of states by promoting their northern brothers in civil services without merit, military, ministries, parastaltals, etc. Even in federal government contract allocation, past northern heads of states give contracts mostly to their northern brothers who did not merit it even when a southerner merits it more. Mother nature is paying northerners back with their injustice and evil deeds/attrocities against people who did them nothing! You can't cheat nature...God exist...north and Yoruba land will witness more calamities in future to come if they don't refrain from unjustly maltreating, cheating and attacking Igbo/Niger delta; mark my word today! |

Why would certain individuals be made so rich and powerful than the state with oil blocks in a country where poverty ravages the majority because proceeds or wealth of the nations are trapped in few hands? Black man mentality!!! |

humilitypays:You are a Nigerian......so you won't understand me. A good day to you. ![]() (I am from an oil producing state....and as my final aside....you could get your South South tates to jointly acquire 5-6 OIL wells under a holding company.....which would use the proceeds for the benefit of the people of your state. You like? ) |

lookingforjob:gerrout!!! Andy Uba is an in-law to Obasanjo, that was d only reason u saw an Igbo name there...Emeka Ofor worked his butt out to rise to become an ally of PDP, reason he was given access to the oil blocs and that was after the military era ended in 1999. So before u reply me, go get your facts right |

We know a lot things are wrong in Nigeria. What I expected was a ND President that would uplift his people by engaging in a massive infrastructural development of the SS. My first trip to Bayelsa was in 2013. I couldn't believe what I saw in ND. GEJ has the opportunity to better his people for over six years but he got carried away by the allures of power only to wake up at the 11th hour to profer half-baked solutions. If SS wants to retain the Presidency, so be it. The least they could have done is present someone with strong leadership skills. But then, how much input, if at all, did the ND folks make in the emergence of GEJ as the Nigerian President? Zilch. The choice of GEJ shows that there are clandestine sinister motives to maintain status quo which explains why he plays ignorant on issues bordering on corruption. / |

All these in the hands of some powerful and wealthy leaders from the North, yet their followers are wrecked, wretched and very poor. Probably they deliberately conditioned them for poverty in order to take advantage of them. |
