the secret is for you to do some digging and learn it.candlestick and price action knowledge is something that is worth learning.the truth is that it is not as difficult as using some indicators.patience is what you need when learning.you can visit babypips and learn.

if only i knew what i know now when i started trading, i really would have gone very far. as a newbie then, i clamoured and canvassed for indicators here and there. i never had the inclination that knowledge of candle stick patterns and price action is the most potent and durable strategy.

now that i know, i have immersed myself in studying them. so i would appreciate if links, ebooks and tutorials are dropped for further studies.

from my point of view, i think engulfing, shooting star and hanging man around an S/R point works great.

thanks so much bro. I appreciate your motivational words. Most of the result where engulfing and I think one was piercing. I can't really remember. This is my first seriousness on binary. After reading from hammer to stars... I decided to test my understanding a few minutes to when I would sleep off so I can't tell which I am using at the moment. I just follow the formation and decide. But what guided me was same thing we discussed earlier, which taking actions around support and resistance zones... I also looked at the overall trend to know what to do when a pattern is forming.

I will say that I visualize the candles as read along so I can get picture of what it means. For instance: "Engulfing"... What is engulfing. I imagine it to be 2 rectangular woods of same widths but different lengths, one is longer than the other. the shorter length is on the left while the longer length is on the right... Now imagine you are in a dark room while these woods are hanging freelly in the air, arranged side by side at same height from top or the longer wood is lightly higher the the short wood... If we decide to shun a light from a touch light phone from the right... Are we going to see the head of shorter wood behind the longer wood? Once you know this, engulfing, both bearish and bulling, dark cloud cover, piercing will be easy to understand...

Steven Nixon explained engulfing by using the analogy of planetary eclipses. He repeated it for dark cloud cover and piercing as well. When I got there the whole picture became clearer.

just keep practicing.the excitement is normal but don't allow it to make you enter trade thinking you are invisible.just discipline yourself to take action like a snipper or like steve nison would call it, trade like a samurai.also which of the time frame do you trade on most times
