This photo was taken in Minna, the Niger state capital. It shows a wheel barrow seller waiting with bikes and cars for traffic light. It's a good thing, right? or mere foolishness

Yes, it's foolish, but the fool here is the OP. The guy is smart to know how dangerous it is to move when their are on coming vehicles.

I never called him foolish just his act , Why wait for traffic light ? The last time i checked it was for motorists not wheelbarow pushers except he's visionizing himself in a car and moreover wheelbarrow pusher walk with pedestrians on walkways they don't move on main roads.
Re: Foolishness Or Patriotism(photos) by chukel(m): 9:58am On Feb 06, 2015
i wont call it foolishness. neither will i call it patriotism. its wisdom. ask yourself what traffic light is meant for. at the time his lane was stopped, cars on other lanes might have been crossing their lane. so cos he was carrying a wheel barrow, he should have crossed and probably gotten crushed by a car? this topic shouldnt have even come up.

He has no business being in the middle of the road.
He should be on the pedestrian walkway.

I'm sorry for ur foolishness, the guy is pushing wheel barrow' do u ever think of how fast he can push the wheel barrow what if in case other vehicle coming with speed to beat the traffic light at the same spot? Wake up okay prevention is better than cure

big guy park his vehicle as others and u are here beefing him
Re: Foolishness Or Patriotism(photos) by nuclearboy(m): 12:16pm On Feb 06, 2015
OP:

It's reasonable to assume the barrow guy has a brain. If he's going "across" like the other cars, it's obvious he'd be involved in an accident if he stupidly goes ahead. So, he stopped and waited. When right of way is his, he will proceed.

Don't look at what he's driving but rather that he joined other reasoning road users to do the right thing.
Re: Foolishness Or Patriotism(photos) by Missy89(f): 12:19pm On Feb 06, 2015
It is neither foolishness nor patriotism

It is called obeying simple traffic laws. You know, That is what civilized people do to prevent them from what is called an accident. You should try it

You are a mor0n by the way.

it's neither of the two.
he's just wise enough to obey as he's on the main road like the other vehicles.
he wouldn't have had the option of inserting traffic lightning rules if he wasn't on the main road in the first place.
Re: Foolishness Or Patriotism(photos) by Nobody: 9:21pm On Feb 24, 2016
He is a motorist because the barrow has wheel (one tyre) and two human legs.
