MUSt you people use WES. I only advice WES for graduates. if you school allows other evaluation agencies, why no try them. some agencies even accept just waec scratch card.

The only reason why i will use WES for undergraduaion is if am going to a top notch school with a full ride scholarship, other than that , i no fit waste resources

the school is a good one in minnesota. its a public university. i doubt if anyone on NL is in that school. its not a red flag.

Its not really necessary, but if you want to evaluate start earlier cause waec is too slow.. I started my own evaluation since November nd waec just verified my result yesterday after pleading nd begging them . Its stressful tho.

Not all school ask for WES..

There is no need of wasting money for WES when at the end of the day the gpa will not be 3.0 which is required by schools before giving scholarship for UG applicants and at the end of the day the school didn't give scholarship after spending over 20k to send result to WES and another 40k for WES evaluation making total of 60k

Well there are alot of schools in USA that will give admission without WES even scholarship with it

Thanks for your detailed response, Walspring. I sent you a mail earlier on. There is certain intending student who asked me for counsel and i am not really knowledgeable of the undergraduate application process.
So in the case in which an applicant does not want to use WES, is the WAEC results along with SAT scores enough or must the student go to his secondary school for transcripts?

The school will post their requirements on their website..

some schools dont ask for high school transcript because they use waec as alternative

Note that schools are differ from each other and the major thing is for the applicant to contact his/her school or check the school website for requirements needed or ask them what and what (s)he will courier or scan to them in order for the school to process his/her admission after paying app fee and filling the application form..

She was just saying rubbish about the school standard...she said one of her Frnd that also choose the school last yr got denied..she also said the school isn't recognise by the consular officials in Nigeria...She's in Minnesota state university, Mankato tho so I initially believed her.....


My moniker isn't badt...I was trying to change it cos I joined all together but not going.. I was trying to use P.ussie- sandie or P.ussien-sandraygal but it wasn't going..

i was admitted for spring 2015 but due to time constraints and my non submission of a letter from bank stating my account statement in dollar equivalent i was not issued form i 20 ..they only advised me to defer till fall 2015.

also there is no funding in any way till one is done for first semester and from my findings the GA is by slot...limited slots..the graduate coordinator is Prof Boyun Guo ...a chinese so u now know y pet eng has chinko .......

also not very sure though..but na only thesis dem dey give funding oooh...cos if ur thesis no get result.....u go stay till u find am oooh

but hope you have applied with all ya necessary docs...jst pm me lemme give u some tips cos d school no dey send mail as such...so u gats be on dem....disturb them so they will c your passion

If i am not wrong according to seun, you cant use symbol and numeric character along side with alphabetic character to open user name or moniker on nairaland.

I guess one of the reason why your friend said that its because she wants you to come to her school and the last time i checked her school is affiliated with EducationUSA. Maybe she wants you to go through EducationUSA since they are aware familiar with that.

yes he can, but its a 50/50 chances if you have a pending File Form I-130 and Petition for Alien Relative (if he has filed for his wife to come over). people get visa but in rare cases.

i dont know the status of the husband in USA, if he is illegal(overstayed his actual visa), he has made it hard for his wife to get a visa because 'show me your friend and i will show you who you are'

if you can provide more info, maybe they could be a way

Bro I was in your situation about a month ago, I'm sure if you go back, you would even see my question about the WAEC WES thing. But after chukwumeebenmel told me that WES hadn't verified his WAEC for a long time, I knew I didn't have that luxury.

I began looking for other agencies. And I guess the best was ECE. After reading all the negative comments about ECE , I was scared but then I also saw a comment from a lady of how swift they are in evaluating WAEC results, and I took that leap of fate. As we speak, my evaluation has been completed and I have already received a copy.

I paid for a rush report, and the whole evaluation thing took not more than 15 days due to the . All you have do, is pay the evaluation fee and scan your WAEC result to them and send them the scratch card details or you can mail these two things like I did, no need of going to WAEC to send anything. They verify it only from WAEC's website. My converted gpa was 3.0/4.0 trust me dey re really fast and their customer service is awesome. leave WES for now, like someone said, they are best for graduate evaluations.

Yh people would say stuffs bout schools is up to you....its not really about the school tho if you can defend why you chose the school over others....the confidence and all.....at education usa ....they were saying not to pick any minisota school and stuffs like that and I know loads of people that picked em and got their visas ....my sister ..the Lord is with you

Wes has nothing to do with undergrad all of you using wes for undergrad has time....just scan your waec den they ask for a scratch card Das all....i Remember my admission. ...they asked for my scratch card and after an hr or two ....i was admitted ....undergrad just scan yo waec and wait for them to ask f9r a scratch card

Can I print out my waec result and send it to the school along with the scratch card
I am 25 years old and am applying for an undergraduate programme, what do you think can be my best reason if asked what I have been doing, can I get a letter from the office I work with, though I lost my Father in 2008. Can I use that as a reason why I did not go for my degree since then also..please I need your advice.

This question has been answered over and over again...you could send it with yo transcripts or scan it to them .....the scratch card is the main thing....u could use your father's demise as a reason....but you have other reasons ....you fine bro

I had 3a1, 2c6, 1b3, 1c5 and 1c4. I paid $300 which is for the 5-day Rush report and to send the report to one school.
