Morality has been thrown to the winds and lack of respect for cultures keeps soaring high.

Yes because the world is getting wiser and more flexible. The girl that got pregnant and was disowned by her parents and sent away are one of the social nuisances today. If they are not the ceo of baby making factories they are full blown prostitutes so people have discovered that teen pregnancy is not a disease na pikin she go born. Her education may only be delayed temporarily but doesn't mean she won't get her life back on tracks. This is 2015 and not 1932

What seemed abnormal and an abomination is now normal now so teen pregnancy is just a phase in some girls life. Some others may not go through it but that doesn't make her worse than the girl who wasn't pregnant so please spare me the hypocrisy and by the way the difference between teen boys is that you won't even know when a teen boy is sekzually active. Forget the innocent face . Because they don't get pregnant however a teen girl who is sekzually active chances are she will get pregnant and it will show all over her body compared to her male counterpart

I don't consider it neither abnormal nor an abomination but I would be devastated if my teenage daughter came home pregnant. Let us not deceive ourselves, it's not a good thing.

I would be equally disappointed if my teenage son impregnated a girl but let's face it, he is not the one whose belly will grow and who will have to deliver and very likely not the one who will stay with the kid 24/7 and interrupt school.

Worry does not solve any problem. So when the deed is already done, just move on with a smile on your face. cool

BTW who knows, the pregnancy might turn out to be a great blessing in disguise kiss

Olodo it's called comprehension skills, and of all people that could be your role model, you chose a psychotic woman on mid-life crisis?

Now tell me your point if you have one...

No but it is a trend that has come to stay. If it happens it has happened the next thing is not to be raining curses but to find a solution on what next to do.

my mom's friend was jisting me sometime ago that her then 16 year old daughter got pregnant and when the school management was about expelling her for pregnancy she appealed to them and they eventually let the issue go but on the condition that she continues to wear school uniform like her mates. When the pregnancy started expanding the mother carried the mother went to the school bought the school uniform material and gave it to the tailor to sew her size and give adequate space for the pregnancy

One day she came back home crying and complaining that she doesn't want to go to school again the mother asked why she said her mates are making fun of her because of her pregnancy the mother insisted that she must go. Few months later she put to bed after her waec exams with good grades and of course went to the university after she made all the necessary papers that will qualify her to be admitted. She left the baby for her mother. To cut the long story short she's a managing director in one of the new generation banks and her daughter is in secondary school doing fine

Teenage pregnancy is as a result of moral breakdown in both sexes. As long as we have low moral values, as long as abstainance isnt preached any longer, as long as we have paedophiles who are not ready to allow little girls grow and create a better future for themselves, as long marriage and getting a man at all cost is constantly harped on little girls, teenage pregnancy will continue to happen. Everything is messed up.
