I have been looking forward to this idea for long but unfortunately those who are vast in this business are not on Nairaland or a plainly hoarding information.

I am aware that people get this online via trade forum where they get buyers but my problem is

1. How do you secure and ensure that you are not scammed. As in how do collect you money and send package to buyer. Escrow.com is not even available to Nigerians which could have made this possible for first time transaction. And I am currently battling with same problem to receive 2840 dollars for a transaction we have agreed on price, though this has nothing to do with exports, I am just sharing expected problems. I went to another escrow service and they told buyer that they can't wire funds to me because I am a Nigerian and their country's regulation is against such.

2. What are the process involved in sending the package to buyer?

truth but getting buyers is likely not going to be a problem. My uncle has a big farm for some agro products...

In my little research, cassava and it's products are in high demand. Charcoal is another... Sesame is another... But we should also be aware that there are other people involved from other countries selling similar goods... Therefore we need to brace up for competition

Bros, I wl nt want to totally agree wt u on dis. While it's true dat pple hoard info, yet a few genuine guys/gals are still here on NL wt gd intentions of help.

For example, on d importatn threads, dis was hw it started like child's play. B4 u knew it, a few guys came up wt detailed step by step DIY free guide which hv today liberated & empowered many youths who never could hv thought they can be importers. D threads are still vibrant.

Let's just be positive, we'll get there. All hitches wl be sorted out. Help is on d way!

Yea, I know. What I'm saying in essence is either dis wavelength or dat wavelength, there are still some Nairalanders dat wl help out as time goes on. Afterall, God wl nt come down to do it 4 us, nor would we need to go back to campus to learn it.

I still strongly believe a little here, a little there, we wil get there shortly.

I understand you perfectly. I am just speaking out of the general outcome of event over exportation. One would think that it will garner much fans as much as importation has had in last 2 years+, but sadly that isn't the case.

Exportation now is the key, it helps our country Through foreign exchange, it helps our farmers and other agro allied companies through income.
The keys to success is consistency, honesty and dogged determination. Even though I have not once exported I think I have a knowledge on how it is done, please it would take me a few days to put up a comprehensive article on this since am a working class and barely have time for myself not to talk of writing articles.

peace

Hello guys,

After reading this thread, i asked myself if i have the energy to assist, but i think i will try my best. I am a chronic advocate for export. I also train in agro produce and solid mineral export. You can visit our website photos gallery www.multipathpro.com/photos.html. You can also see a newspaper attached write up on one of the training sessions i spoke at.

I was also opportuned to have been a strong official of the Lagos State Marketeters and Agro Processors (LASAMAP).

Anywayz, you can ask me any questions in export of Agro produce or solid minerals export. I will be willing to assist.

Please incase i dont respond, it means i have shut my tab off, i will always come back to respond to you questiions one after the other.

Thank you.

This is a good thread and I think it should be handled like the importation thread. The gurus in the house should kick start the tutorials with the dos and the dont's while those of us the wanabis will follow.
