Mr Eke40seven thanks so much.God Bless you too. am so happy with your response. But another question is, hope is not too late now to receive from the school concerning admission letter stuff? since their application deadline was 15th of January.
Each school or even programme with its policies. Some give early while others take more time. I have seen a situation where someone was given admission just 3 weeks to the start of the programme, while I others can get it just 3 days after!
Be hopeful and keep your fingers crossed.

But I'm sorry o, read the statement very well now. I said there is a 70% chance not 100% and it's a chance, not a certainty. Oh, and is it true you can never be admitted into a Fach without it being accredited ? Believe me, this I do not know.

Thanks for sharing.

Well now you know. German uni don't operate non accredited faculties. Even private unis.

wow that's too expensive, bro does it mean that no german university will accept Waec result only? Please do you know of any goethe institute in the South east like Portharcourt, aba, anambra?

I do not think going for a studienkolleg is really that cheap. i am not very sure because i did not apply to them, but most i have seen are not tuition free, you have to pay fees as well as having your blocked.

As for the goethe institute, you do not have to learn german there, you can learn in smaller cities and towns and just register to write the german exams in goethe. that might be cheaper, but it might take you approximately two years for you to attain sufficient level of german to study in a studienkolleg and get a B2 which most of them require.

If you ask me, you A-level or first year university degree will be a cheaper option. You can also check unilag a-level program which they call diploma, its about 300k a year, it is done in conjunction with university of lancashire and uni of birmingham. If the UK accredits it, then i am sure it will be in germany, that one is less complicated to enter unlike jamb and is not affected by ASUU or all other factors that affect naija uni.
you can even learn german part time while you are at it. there are smaller german schools around (yaba environs that is). You can arrange to get a place on campus if you are admitted in the unilag program and in one year you can get admission into a german uni with you 'good result', maybe an english speaking program, your little german knowledge and less expenditure.

by the way- confirm that unilag still runs this program.

I have no plans on insulting you, bro. If you read my initial comment, you'd see the nature of my comment. It was posted with no intention of insulting anyone. All I did was share an idea that most people I'm sure are unaware of but reach their schools and find out their course has got this and that. By the way, I do not know whether Eke40Seven(not that is a bad idea) is being praised for an info he has given in the past or whether he is a German student but I can tell he doesn't currently study in Germany and yes, what I've stated earlier about accreditation is from what I've seen others experience.

And thank you for commenting, I hope I've not mislead you in any ways. If I have, I apologize for that

Good points, Unilag foundation programme is another option and it is internationally recognised as they have a cooperation with University of Bedfordshire and I think one other school like that. However, one will have to have a deep pocket to enrol in a Unilag diploma programme. Even as far back as 2007/2008 session, my set paid 350k, for tuition fee alone. I think, coupled with acceptance fees, its now around N380k minus departmental registrations and other miscellaneous fees. School do not provide accommodation for diploma students yet, so the somewhat legal options they have is either Emerald/Bishop court and other mushroom out campus private hostels for girls or BQ for boys, which can be nothing less than N200-250k for a year.
If one is gonna get a resold hostel space in campus, as far back as 2011/2012 session, the cheapest you can get is N60k and being a Diploma person, you may be drained for more. Getting accommodation around too is not cheap, with agency bruhaha. "Flexing" as a big diploma boy or girl also comes with its price grin.

The other cheaper alternative, Human Resource programme is 100k per session for 2 years. Not too many will have that patience. Then you will still face accommodation problems.
Even as that, preparing for the entrance exams are like doing another A level exam. One will either need good tutorials or very very good study materials as its becoming very competitive.

Instead of the Unilag diploma, Cambridge A level will fill the gap at a slightly lesser cost but much less stress and convenience. However, to the best of my knowledge, NOUN still offers the best option for Lagos residents especially (I don't know where the other centres are located). Its cheaper and Geothe institute Lagos is not so far from NOUN.

I hope you are preparing for your entrance into Deutschland?

God bless you.

Wait oooooo! Make una no chop me, the matter don end sha! But make I find trouble small...

The truth is he sure has a point.

See, if u are considering the global market, u must take his point seriously.

Eke I will speak to u on dis matter, we would resolve it together and come here to present our official stand.

We'll,l i think I understand danindia. Only that he did not state his point clearly and he made some assumptions.

The truth is he sure has a point.

See, if u are considering the global job market, u must take his point seriously.

My simple advice is this, thoroughly check your programme webpage for the accreditation status of your programme. Afterall, the webpage won't bite u...
Howbeit, its nothing to worry about if the program is on daad.de.
In my opinion there is no connection btw uni-assist member uni's and the accreditation status of their programmes. There is no correlation. It does not follow in the sense of the matter we are trashing out.

Danindia u must understand the diffc btw course specific ranking and general ranking. Although I understand ur point of one area of a university's activity giving them the high points in ranking. But, I advise u review the criteria and methods used by those institutions Eke47 mentioned. It will surely help ur understanding.

but make I enter u small, u said u have been or u belong to a lot of chat rooms, and u have caused trouble in some of them and some ppl for there been don find ur trouble too... (in my own words ooooo... B4 u go begin fire now)

Hmmmmmm! I fear for that statement ooo, I only hope u are not the "roaring lion , looking for ...." as described in the Bible. Pls ooooo, we are peace loving people here.
But u can try "sambisa chat grroup", there u will find ur match.

Its not clear if u are in india or germany, but I will cast my vote for the former. U knw y? As a pure naija boi wey u be, with all d attacks wey u get u for don release ur profile tey tey... At least to preserve ur ego. Having said that, it will be a wise decision to leave india and enter germo , save u have good reasons to stay put in india.
That not withstanding, its obvious u like Germany and want to be there.

Danindia, I know say u hit point go be ..." A lot of them are not studying in Germany" ....buhahahahahha . I laugh u in swahili.

Eke I will speak to u on dis matter, we would resolve it together.

And to everyone Eke40Seven, Rayhut, everyone that has posted above.
I understand if you guys think the information I shared above doesn't agree with you. That's totally OK. This is a forum, I'm a user of many and I've disagreed with a few posts myself and agreed with some, however, not in some form I've seen above.
I apologize and you guys have admitted, it is wrong (your opinion, and everyone stands corrected - me inclusive!). I did not mean to cause any form of misunderstanding or attention-seeking in anyways (Believe me, that was not the plan at all). The last two pages of this thread have all been about arguments whether or not accreditation or whatnot, but that's expected in a thread.

Once again, I'm sorry - let's make this thread what it was, and is supposed to be; a learning platform.
Best of luck to prospective and current German students.
What do you say we move on, no?

You have a good chap, u are on 2.0 on the German scale, as most schools in Germany requires 2.5 or better. Search of schools and courses on daad.de/en as said my chief eke, as different schools have different requirements. I am a graduate of microbiology too
