Ikengawo:Pls, disprove these facts. I am an undecided voter. Find them below; Hey man, as a pro-GEJ crusader, I dare you to answer these questions below, How can you justify the N2bn budgeted to build a residence for the VP, while in farway Uruguay, the president still maintains a simple life, driving a volkswagen beetle and living in his own house before he became president. How will you justify the FG budgeting N5bn to build a first ladies mission house, in a poor country like Nigeria where 70% of Nigerians are living below $1 a day? How will you justify N150m being budgeted to renovate the VP guest lodge? Was the house burnt down? A house he barely lives in? Common!! How will you justify the president's reaction when the chibok girls got kidnap by Boko haram? How will you justify a government where the president has 11 jets in his fleets and budgeting N10bn as annual maintainance cost. Even an Arik air that is fully commercial doesn't spend that much on managing it's fleets yearly. How will you justify a government that allowed our a scam immigration recruitment exercise to take place, where unemployed Nigerians where officially asked to pay money for registration. Yet noone has been brought to book. The minister of interior should have been jailed. How will you justify the fact that the GEJ led administration has risen the debt toll from $26n to $70bn, excess crude account has dropped from $20bn to $2bn, recurrent expenditure has skyrocketed from 62% to 82%, GDP has declined from 11% to 6%? Now are we progressing or retrogressing as a nation? How will you justify a government who pardoned ex-convicts like Bode george and Alameghysia? These people looted money that belongs to every Nigerian. Yet they are walking unhurt. How will you justify a government that has a petroleum minister spending N10bn on private jet charter, yet Nigerians are crying and wallowing in poverty. Is her salary upto that? So why spend money above your means? Kleptomaniac's as public office holders. How will you justify a government where the first lady was indicted in $13m money laundering scandal? Do we stay mute on it? How will you justify a government that has spent N968bn on security, yet our lives and properties are far from being secured, while we live in fear on a constant basis. How will you justify a government that has spent over $30bn to revamp the power sector, yet our MW has dropped from 4500MW to less than 3000MW. How will you describe the money lost to the Sure-p scam, pension scam, and Stella Oduah BMW scam? What about the missing NNPC money? Can you justify the $15m scam South Africa arms deal, where hard earned cash was filled into briefcases and a chartered jet was used to transport it. Not even with military. Who were the Nigerians involved? Because the name of the Israeli was released to us. How will you justify a president who has increased his feeling fee from N1bn to N4bn? Is it because of the dollar rise? All we read on the dailies has been how much money is being looted out of the treasury on a daily basis, and you expect us to stay mute on this? |

I rember him talking about flying his Uncle out for proper medical attention before he died and a shameless f00l is here saying GEJ did not allow him and his family die of Ebola. For your information EBOLA was contained in Lagos all the strategy used emanated from Lagos. |

Nigeria not failed yet. But continuing to have a semi-literate Buhari making noise - Buhari who has refused to show his secondary school leaving certificate to the authorities to qualify him to contest election, Buhari who refused to accept court summons to enable him explain his certificate issue to the public, Buhari who can hardly articulate a sentence, evidently sick Buhari who can hardly address a crowd for more than five minutes - yes, having Buhari as Nigeria's president is sure way to MAKING NIGERIA A FAILED STATE. |

No, Nigeria is not a failed state, it is very successful, despite its lack of natural resources. The poverty rate is very low, the education system is well-developed, the healthcare system is so good, the first lady would rather go to a Nigerian hospital than a German hospital, the infrastructure is world class and there is no terrorism. #Ironymodeoff |

If it quacks like a duck and it waddles like a duck, it is probably a duck. Nigeria may not be a failed state but it is NOT very far away from being one: 1. A country where so much corruption and looting go UNCHECKED and UNPUNISHED is all but a failed state. 2. A country where MANY of its youths would be so tragically killed in a dubiously and shabbily planned public recruitment exercise and YET nobody has EVER been held accountable, there is actually no much difference between such a country and a failed state. 3. A country where even the corrupt elite who had been CONVICTED are now are not only set free, but are also rehabilitated financially and re-empowered politically, is certainly on the borderline of being a failed state, if such impunity is not checked. 4. A country where an insurgency by a small band of ragtags was ALLOWED by selfish and manipulative vested interests to go out of control and cost THOUSANDS of lives and billions' worth of destruction of properties, many people would simply agree that such a country deserves the inglorious epitaph of a failed state. 5. A country where OVER TWO HUNDRED innocent schoolgirls were abducted by a few ungodly insurgents on carted away on the backs of trucks and disappeared into thin air ever since then, even if an Omokri does not believe that we deserve the tag of a failed state, many people outside Nigeria would think we are actually a failed state. In fact, even a failed state like Somalia, the elements calling themselves government over there would have done a MUCH BETTER job of trying to prevent the kidnapping and attempting to rescue the innocent girls. 6. A country that probably has one of the highest numbers of army 'generals', yet we have an insurgents sacking towns after towns, curving their own 'caliphates' within the country and foisting their own 'national flags', surely these are clear signs that even if such a country is not a failed state as yet, it is on the brink of becoming one, unless something is done about it. 7. So Mr Omokri, even though we are not technically a failed state, the government of your pathetically clueless principal has committed so many blunders and showed so much incompetence that disgraced our great nation and belittled our international standing that we are now just like a failed state. |

Let the voters decide. Let them speak with their votes. May the President have the courage to respect and accept the verdict of the people. Even though, the callous men he surrounded himself with don't seem to let him. |

We all knw that GEJ voted about 100 billion Naira to revive the textile industry and huge sums on some other sectors. But the point is that when you have a president who says that stealing is not corruption and treats corruption with kids gloves, then most of that money released, just disappears. There is no system that will progress if there is no accountability. GEJ has tried, but he has left the core issues which are security and corruption hanging loose. If you cannot secure the lives of Nigerians, then I do not see why you are there as the Commander-in-Chief. |
| Re: Nigeria Is Not A Failed State, Omokri Tells Buhari by cypriannwadukwe: 11:09pm On Feb 09, 2015 |
if Nigeria is a failed state, then Buhari should be the no. 1 culprit. who truncated our tender but thriving democracy? who is known for inciting statements that lead to loss of lives? Who is known for causing division among the Nigerian ethnic groups? Who is responsible for putting corrupt politicians in mansions and innocent ones in prison Who is responsible for killing and sentencing Journalists to lie imprisonment just because he did not like their articles who is known for being sectional and being tribalistic? Who is known to be a strong religious fanatic saying that he was totally in support or implementing sharia law all across Nigeria with no respect for the religious affiliation of other nigerians Who criticized the government for their campaign against Boko Haram who started out murdering innocent nigerians while they worshiped the list goes on and on but u cannot see the truth even though it is right b4 ur eyes. Buhari has no right to call Nigeria a failed state because he contributed largely to the situation where we find ourselve, he has no shame, no integrity, no honor, he even went ahead to lie against Pa Lateef Jakande and many others, calling them corrupt, and the children these true patriots laid their lives down for swallow his lies hook line and sinker. Nothing best describes buhari than an Irresponsible man without honour blaming others for his actions U better put on ur thinking cap b4 it is too late and prevent Nigeria from becoming like North Korea #NO2Buhari #GEJ4Naija |

Nigeria is a failed state. The country is only working for a few people and not the majority of its citizens. Everything Omokri pointed to is only benefiting the privileged few. To the majority of downtrodden and poverty stricken Nigerians for whom the government might as well not exist, Nigeria is a failed state. |

The fact that we have clowns like this dishonest called Wendell smith in government on taxpayers payroll means Nigeria is a failed state A country with military that can not protect and defend 1 single local government without help from smaller neighbors means Nigeria is a failed state. The fact that military and law enforcement agencies are. on tape ccollecting bribes and taking orders to help rig elections and deny nigerians their voting rights and still not accountable means nigeria is a failed state. The fact that we have a government spokesman calling nigerians sons of Satan and still unpunished or sacked means nigeria is a failed state. The fact that we have a lawless president with zero desire to protect and enforce the laws of Nigeria and even openly claimed that stealing is not corruption, won't jail looters and protecting looters means nigeria is a failed state. I can go on and on.... |
