Let whoever wins take his rightful position in Aso Rock. Whatever be the case do not help to heat up the polity. This politicians we always clamour for dont have our interest at heart. When the violence start, they and their children will flee to fortification while the military men will be wasting the lives of Nigerians. Recall the Nigerian civil war, the principal actors lived to ripe age. Gowon is almost 80 and Ojukwu died at the ripe age of 78 leaving inheritance for his children but do not forget that 3 million people lost their lives on both sides. Their death was in vain as the politicians reconcilled and many are now great friends and they are still ruling us. Let us be wise, vote for your candidate and move on. We have never voted anyone that will please us for even a term, before the tenure ends we will start screaming and shouting for another. Politicians are not your messiah. We are the ones to drop our selfishness, materialism, hatred, insensitivity and wickedness towards another. Our division is greatly helping their own agenda. As long as we are divided we will always be at the loosing end. What they owe us is infrastructures, security and proper resource control. It is not theirs to help us define our heritage, an Hausa man is not better than all the other 250 tribes and vice versa. We are first human before we
recognise any tribe or nation what we owe each other is love. We are not different in anyway except our mindset. It is not theirs to help us discover religion, it is supposed to be between us and our God. Religion is a personal thing, as long as it works for us. God is the judge not us or them. Please keep yourselves safe, you too can rule one day.

Young man i watched the interview and FYI i also have studied linguistics and am fully in my senses when writing this. Jonathan was grasping as straws yesterday full stop. Even if he did quote someone else does that make the source correct? If you want to solve a problem you go to the source. Stealing and corruption are one but if you want to abolish stealing then eradicate corruption period. Thank me for the prognosis the diagnosis and the solution later.

I would like to ask a question and I need a very straight answer and not insults..... What is the source of stealing? Isnt it from a corrupt mind? What is stealing and what is corruption? Both are vices tied to one source which is a sinful nature... Another word for sin is corruption and one of the proceeds of corruption is stealing. There is absolutely no way you can draw a line of distinction between both. Jonathan knows he blundered and was just trying to rewrite logic to his favor but i am not buying it. Only a corrupt person can steal and proof of corruption is when you steal amongst other vices. Those of you who believe that stealing is not corruption need a reality check because its like saying lying is not sin but mere lying.

my brother the level of ignorance in this country is nauseating. I have tried in the past to clarify this same issue, I stated that Gej was quoting a Former chief justice, I watched the video where he said that "stealing is not corruption" he clearly stated that the former chief justice said that 80 percent of what people call corruption is a case of stealing which has a different penalty as corruption, but they wouldn't listen. At a point I was very annoyed with presidential media aids for not clearing the air on this.. APC members were using it against GEJ.. Honestly, this man is sooo "aidless". Had it been he didn't come out to clear the air, people will still believe that he said "stealing is not corruption". Even the journalists in the country are too lazy to correct the populace. I pity this country because its being built on propaganda, this trend will be very bad, if left unchecked.

Majority of nigerians supporting jonathan are illiterates. they lack real reasoning capabilities. Jonathan fooling himself not me. Here he is saying that he implies that a thief should be called a thief, should be stripped na*ked and blah blah blah.... yet the foolish man opened his mouth to criticise buhari for punishing Nwobodo? 'how much did nwobodo stole?' 'money dats not enough to buy peugeot.' Hipocrisy at its highest level! here 'a thief is not a thief' right?

He has been pressurised to correct his statement, but because he is naturally clueless, he has made too many clueless statements in the past he cant get out of this one. Before you stupid supporters attack me though, take your time to analyse his thoughts on 'nwobodo's petty stealing' and gej's new stance on stealing. It reeks of cluelessness. smh!

Would you entrust anything into the hand of a man who steals? Even if that man is known to steal money would you entrust even stones in his hands? You know that even if he cannot have access to money he would find a way to steal those stones so he can convert them to money so its all about the root cause and not that surface hogwash that Jonathan tried to stutter himself out of.

He only convinced me with his explanation. That he is fighting corruption; I give him F in that aspect.

For those who posted extracts from the dictionary i would like to inform them that what any dictionary does is to try and explain individual words and give them their unique meanings but not to give a moral separation between that word and an all inclusive "other" word. So whenever you see an explanation of any word in the dictionary ask yourself "what other qualification can i give to this word and how is it to be applied" Jonathan got an F in his attempt to explain away his blunder. Anyone who steals is corrupt. Stealing is a subset of corruption. It just like saying Nigeria is not in Africa becos Nigeria is a country on her own and shud not be mistaken for Africa. According to you a thief is not corrupt right? I guess if stealing is not corruption then that means corruption is not sin right? You do not realize that Jonathan spoke using tautology in order to confuse you guys and justify his position but he is still wrong. Allow me to show you an example of what he did and this is classic tautology Check out the statement below:

The storm hit at 2 p.m. in the afternoon

2 p.m already told you the time of day so there was no need to add "afternoon" because you were saying the same thing right? Now what Jonathan attempted to do was to say that he was focusing on 2 p.m and not on the afternoon part of the statement by saying they have no correlation. He said 2 p.m is a specific time while "afternoon" could mean anytime between 12noon and 4pm. But the question many of you are not asking is this, "is 2 p.m not part of the afternoon"?

You still do not get it do you? Jonathan was trying to classify stealing as a minor offense hence playing down its consequences. Stealing A.K.A looting is one of the major offenses prevalent in Nigeria. He is encouraging stealing by playing it down as being ordinary thereby giving credence to his inability to do anything about it because already he is seeing it as insignificant
