no thanks to GEJs cluelessness and devaluation of the naira, this is what GEJ has turned our economy into.
Son ignorance is not an excuse, so you too feel Nigeria President can control the oil market hummm? grin Or its GEJ fault that Past Head of States did not diversify the economy and have had this problem every time oil prices slump. We have to read more my people...

Am so happy that there are people like you who really sees things in the right perspective. One man who has exploited Nigerians since the military Era is dangote.in my opinion his money is blood money.

It is expected as a lot of foreign investors pulled out of Nigeria with the recent fall in the Naira coupled with the fall in Oil prices. Dangote took the major brunt of this as he owns about 91% of the Dangote group. But he will definitely bounce back eventually probably even bigger. I just hope this doesn't affect the good folks who work for him.

Two simple things:

Stock price of his holdings fell (NSE has fallen ~30% in the 6 month period). NSE and oil price have strong correlation.

Naira value fell reducing his dollar value

He will rise again when oil price rises

I used this same sentence with my friend just 2 days ago. Just told him.

" I lost half of my worth between January 2013 to January 2015 ". And it taught me how to do things differently.

OBJ made dangote rich.. Let the money change hands..

Most of his wealth were saved up in Naira, Naira has fallen that is why his wealth in terms of dollar is reduced. He better pray naira strengthens than before.

I am very sorry for you, do not go and work. Keep waiting for God to take other people's sweat and hand it to you. The price of his shares only depreciated as a result of bad economic times Nigeria is facing, it does not mean any of his factories closed or anything. It is called paper loss and paper gain, go and educate yourself.

His wealth is valued in dollars. Have you seen the current rate? Pound to naira is 316 and dollar to naira is 206.
naira you mean? Coz if valued in dollars his wealth is supposed to rise by percentage increase in dollars for the last six months?

hmmm....I hope it's not true. I don't hear much about aliko these days.
Not as if we ever hear of him in that unusually big manner.

Dangote is a perfect example of what it means to be a perfect gentleman. He is humility & simplicity personified.

I hope this isn't true though. Dangote, for what I know, does not deserve this. Again, Nigerian economy would suffer more setback if this is true. embarassed
