I respect you as one of the few sensible and responsible commentators here. I would like you to tell us with facts what Okorocha and Imo state government did to disprove the allegations after federal government marked those school with UBE inscriptions.
Rochas have made it abundantly clear that those projects are Imo state government's and as a matter of fact, he has asked Viola to go ahead and either complete the remaining ones or initiate new ones if It's truely federal government sponsored. And we know til date known of the projects with UBE inscription have been completed cos it's ownership is stil in contention and the state government have stalled works on those ones. And haven't you noticed that of all the completed schools, none is with the UBE inscription? The kinda politics Viola is playing is very dangerous and Imolites might not forgive her quickly in time to come. Aren't u also bothered that even Ihedioha, Iheanacho, Ukanacho et al have not even DIRECTLY accused Rochas in the open of what Viola is accusing him of?Udo diri gi

The fact that she's the only one attacking Okorocha's deceptions in education sector in Imo state is because she knows more than anybody in Imo state, because she's minister of education. Imo people should be thankful for her.

I expected you to come with a link to your story, without that, it's difficult to believe you.

Nwanne, you should know that I'm on ground. The truth is, If Viola's allegation is true, Ihedioha who is very close to her would have been using it for his campaign and I'm sure Viola would be ready to provide Ihedioha with damning evidence to nail Okorocha. I respect the fact that Viola is trying to make entry into the politico space of Imo State. But, would her revered late husband be happy with the brand of politics she is playing?

Anyway, in Politics, especially in election period like this, everybody is guilty. You should reason with me that Okorocha misfired on many fronts. If you believe she's not playing Ihedioha card, you can believe anything. I she contesting any post in Imo state?
Did you remember how Okorocha defeated Ohakim? Bad politics.
I'm happy that his poisoned fingers is being forced into his throat.

tell them the truth my brother. ..rochas is angry with viola for exposing his 305 school block lies...
So you're saying all these have been lies? What about the free education? Is that a lie too? I'm asking because I do not really know much going on in that state and people here sing his praises to high heavens.

Nwanne, I know she is working very hard for the emergence of Ihedioha but I said what I said to further buttress the point that her assertions are very fallacious and irrational in the circle of well enlightened and articulate minds. And that have forced Ihedioha to restrain himself from making such spurious claim in pubic cos you know, Ihedioha is not an intellectual misfit and he is quite calculative. Sincerely, I kinda like people that exert strong pressure on incumbents cos it wil make them to perform more than they even anticipated. But, at the same time, we should be rational enough to draw the line and not to cross over to that which wil be very destructive and anti masses. Sometimes I wonder if you guy know d difference btw UBE job and STate government job. Na wa ooo. My brother is a contractor with the government and we are in the know on how Roche group came to imo state. You guys should stop saying what you don't know cos of politics. Ube jobs we did last year at mbaise was renovation, 98% of ube job is renovation. Rochas built 305 schools in imo state from the scratch . Stop peddling lies here. Rochr group from Ireland drew the design and built most of the school.
Ube is a contributory scheme btw federal and state governments. State government pay for its percentage before the money will be released.

If all these allegations was leveled against a PDP governor, will you believe it's a lie?
Take for example, the 49 billion dollars alleged to have been missing under Jonathan government by former CBN governor, Malam Sanusi?
Time shall tell.

Rocha's built no schools. I ve seen several of them. All that was done was only a block of prefabricated classroom in each school. With dilapidated blocks surrounding the new one. We can't say this means anyone built a school.

Besides, what's the rationale behind giving imolites free education and denying them admission at IMO state university?

I still don't understand giving pupils money for attending school. IMO has always sent their wards to school.

God bless you my brother. You are seeing clearly. Don't mind those who claim to be on ground but yet ooze emptiness. The man will take a block from the whole school and refurbish it and leave the rest, and somebody will call it a new school built. Does he know what it means to build entirely new 305schools in each ward. Where was the land provided and when was this massive recruitment of teachers done?
Any person coming out here to state that Rochas built 305 schools is either the most naïve person or just a pathological liar, either way,he or she shouldn't be taken serious.

my brother I detest lies. ..imo state students from primary 1 to jss3 were not paying school fees even b4 rochas. ..rochas gave free education to senior secondary students who still pay for their waec and neco fees. ...He reduced Imsu school fees from 35k to 20k for indigines and increased it to 120k for non indigenes...but acceptance fee is now 75k as against 30k before. ...so my brother you have the facts. ..judge

If Viola had accused Owelle of some missing money in the state coffers considering the level corruption have assumed in Nigeria, even discerning minds that are not in the know might believe her. But, her kinda allegation is very laughable and painful to most of us that want Imo state which is hitherto lagging behind to move forward. We are not known to engage in destructive politics and it wil be heart breaking to see a woman/mother/wife to introduce such in Imo State. Udo diri gi

For those who came on this thread to perpetuate lies in favour of Rochas and tarnish the name (and people) of a widowed minister because she revealed the lies of Rochas, the truth which can only be delayed for a while is beginning to emerge with its consequences on the perpetuators. When there was no coffin, they cried coffin after they had finished beating these poor widows, now they are not only getting the coffin as they stated, they are also getting curses...

From GEORGE ONYEJIUWA, Owerri

Hundreds of widows in Imo State have placed curses on the state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, and his supporters for allegedly peddling falsehood that the widows placed a mock coffin at the gate of Government House, during their protest two weeks ago.

Speaking after their praying and fasting session yesterday in Owerri, the state capital, the chairperson of Imo Widows Association, Mrs. Ijeoma Nwabueze, expressed shock that rather than condemned the beating of the widows, Governor Okorocha and Eze Ohiri-led council of Ndi Eze, resorted to blackmail and falsehood to disparage the innocent widows and cover the atrocity the youths had committed against their mothers.

Nwabueze declared: “We pray that if the allegation of parading a mock coffin is true, then whatever Ndi Eze Imo wish of them, let it come to pass. But if not, may coffin never depart from their families and the Almighty God, who is the husband of the widows, should visit their wives.”

Others, who spoke at the session include, Mrs Anthonia, who is a representative of Orlu zone, Martina Ejimmadu from Okigwe zone and Mrs Ijeoma Nwabueze from Owerri.

The association of widows also placed curses on traditional rulers, who attended the cleansing ceremony and the hoodlums, who were allegedly mobilised by the state government to flog and inflict injuries on them.

“Those who knew that the governor and the traditional rulers’ accusation is false and are promoting it, there is a curse attached to such atrocity and also, whoever may have participated or engineered the attack on the harmless widows, who merely engaged in a peaceful protest, cannot go unpunished,” the widows declared.

They stated that the wrath of God of widows would also visit two commissioners in the state and a top female official of the state Universal Education Board (SUBEB) for allegedly supervising the beating of the widows and alleging later that the widows were found with a mock coffin.

The widows prayed for quick recovery of those who sustained injuries during the protest, including Mrs. Mary Mgbehuge from Umunna Autonomous Community in Onuimo Local Government Area of the state, who had a broken leg.
