I wil say it boldly dat gej has been ill advice on some national issues and i felt equally disappointed at some, but dat doesn't warrant him been made to look like a fool to d outside world even when d true picture is different! Insulting ur president won't do u any good brother neither will it add value to ur life in any form! criticize without insulting anyone and also provide solutions too because whether u like it or not dis problems are affecting everyone! |

I don't know what to say to you, but it is not defence it is defend. What do you think bind us together, your oil? I don't benefit from your oil, and there are counties without oil that still remains together, as a matter of fact I think your oil is even causing more problem for us than good. As for your claim, the reason for Jonathan rejection is not about where he came from it is about his incapability to rule effectively and the criminals he surrounds himself with. |
| Re: Main Lesson From Jonathan's Plight by Kennywills7(m): 9:35am On Feb 12, 2015 |
focus7:Brother if u say u are not benefiting from d oil then u are only deceiving yourself because u are indirectly benefiting from d oil, d entire country at large is benefiting from it |

You people should stop this your ethno-centric whinning! You are equally as bigoted as the Northerners u dish out criticism to on a regular basis. It's quite simple. The North and SE/SS are quite ethno-centric. They definitely will vote for their person. I don't understand this whining from SE/SS guys as if they are not equal bigots with the Northerners. The SW mainly votes for performance! They also like trying another person at the helms of affairs as shown by 1999 till date political history. They have voted in and out PDP and 'APC' (formerly AD/ACN). That is the main reason Buhari will be winning the SW. Anybody that thinks GEJ can win the SW is just deceiving his or herself. The closest percentage, I mean CLOSEST percentage GEJ can get to GMB in SW total votes is 45% to GMB's 55%. Characteristic of SW politics, you'll see that PDP may also win Lagos. I'm from the SW and reside in Lag, and I can tell that a lot of people are already tilting towards trying 'change' in Lagos. Even though, I support APC, I know they will find it real hard in Lag. With all the on-going politicking, if APC succeeds in winning Lagos, then without any contradiction, I will crown Tinubu as the greatest Nigerian politician. |

Kennywills7:[b] From the look of things, GEJ allowed himself to be diminished by co travellers like Koro ,Omisore, Adesiyan, Fayose and co using the army and their misadventure is working so far, to their detriment. The tapes from the Ekiti/Osun saga have clearly indicted them and they have dragged the presidency and army into the gutter. In retrospect, the Ekiti scenario is a repeat of what happened in Anambra which explains why Chris Uba came into Ekiti with his own team. The template was also scheduled to be used in Osun before the tables turned. It will therefore be safe to conclude that this template/could have been used across the land. GOd works in mysterious ways. I am not surprised that PDP/GEJ are fought tooth and nail to shift the goalposts to March. The deal has gone awry. I agree that GEj will take his rightful place in history, no doubt but the question is in which column ![]() Lest I forget, GEJ , our CinC denied being informed about the change in election dates and the communication by the military to INEC of their inability to provide secuirity. Haba , even my platoon leader in NYSC camp could not have said this |

citizenY:U are too one sided bro The tape in question implicated both d pdp and d apc in d act and both use d military, its a game of chess one out smart d other As Gej, i will admit he has made some mistakes, i mean all leaders do but am not going to defend dat The prostpone election is d best decision gej took in dis month of feb so far, Nigeria was standing on a time bomb The polity was over heated by both parties & it needed to b calm Aside from dat even d inec is not bn truthful in dis issue Gej place will not b in d gutters or dustin as allege by u but it will b rightfull place where he is remember for some of d great policies dat set d pace for d improvement of dis country, though dey are not fully implemented and we are not yet seeing much of d benefit, a careful look at dem will sure u dat d country stands to benefit from dem on a long run Thank u |

agabusta:How good was d performance of obj compare to gej sir? |
| Re: Main Lesson From Jonathan's Plight by agabusta: 1:46pm On Feb 14, 2015 |
Kennywills7:It depends on the aspect one is looking at. Obasanjo performed far better than GEJ on the economy and security. He created more jobs as well. Obasanjo opened up the banking and telecoms sectors. This created hundreds of thousands of direct and indirect jobs. GEJ does not have a specific sector he revolutionised that created hundreds of thousands of jobs that can be confirmed. He together with his finance minister are just deceiving themselves with the figures they are brandishing as jobs they created. Obasanjo left the economy in a very strong state. If GEJ leaves in May, he will be leaving a very weak economy. GEJ seems to be getting it right with infrastructural devpt, especially with roads and the rail, although it is going at a very slow pace. I'm still suffering on FGN roads I regularly frequent, Apapa-Oshodi express, Shagamu-Ikorodu road & Lagos/Ibadan express despite their noise on these roads. I travelled on Lag-Ibn express 2 weeks ago, and with what I saw, they may still spend 2/3 yrs if not more before they complete it GEJ's claim of transforming the agricultural sector is only seen in the media, not in the markets thru the prices of foods, and in the export of agricultural produce. Personally, I like the fact that GEJ established more Universities and Almajiri schs. Throughout the existence of these schs he would be remembered for it. GEJ by ensuring PDP did not conduct a presidential primary, destroyed some democratic principles of our political system. It encouraged a culture of impunity where everyone was looking for automatic tickets. From the president, to governors, to senators, House of Rep, etc and even party chairman sef. This is not a good precedence. If GEJ wins re-election (God forbid!), that precedence will not augur well for the political system of our country. GEJ most especially thru those around him has further pronounced Nigeria's religious and ethnic fault lines. Obasanjo was a detribalised leader, his cohorts didn't emphasise religion and ethnicity to win elections. GEJ puts less pressure on INEC and didn't manipulate the body as much as Obasanjo. That is a plus for him, I just hope he wont rubbish that in this coming election. Obasanjo's fight against corruption, though selective in some cases, nonetheless, it achieved better results than what obtains today. Overall, I will give it to Obasanjo. I'm not a fan of Obasanjo, though I admire some specific qualities in him just like GEJ. And I didn’t even vote for him in 1999 and 2003. |

agabusta:Bro lets b truthful in d banking sector obj might hv open d sector but we also know it nearly collase if not for d intervention of sanusi under umaru/gej so dat one its gej except u want to bring facts to prove me wrong As for d jobs created, gej created 5400 direct jobs (entrepreneurs) through Youwin In agriculture, which is very important has bn seriously work on by d gej administration, ways u can see this is through rice production which has gone up and u can testify to dat during d dec 2014 period dat instead of price of rice going up, it reduce & d exploit in agriculture certainly created jobs for some pple As for d presidential primary its d decision of d party and even if d primaries were conducted gej would hv still win Talking about corruption obj method was a selective method where his ememies were targeted Gej may hv not sent any high profile politician to jail but it doesn't mean corruption is not bn fought I know we clamour to see a big man in jail yes we all do but dis things follow due process dat is court There are many cases in d court and its only d court dat can send dem to jail and not gej however i knw he can influence d out come but dat will also mean interferring in d affairs of d judiciary If Gej starts sending some of d Apc governors to jail now we are d ones dat will start shouting foul play again On d aspect of d road, d work pace is slow yes but its going on & i like d fact dat u are truthful in certain areas Economically gej perform better than obj and it has bn proven over time Talking abt d aviation sector, d automoblie industry to add to some u hv already highlighted The fall of d economy is a global trend & its due to d fall in oil prices & its affecting d growth of most economies in d world Gej attempted saving for d rainy days but it was our various states governors dat still accuse him of stealing d money which prompted him to release d money which was share aamong d states and d fed govt As for religious and tribal lines, personally i condemn d acts of those around him making some unguilded statements Those making such inciting statements include even buhari himself and not forgetting some northern governors and muslim clerics Am not saying gej has bn wonderful but he is far better than d opposition candidate If they had produce a better candidate it would hv bn a bit better also looking at those singing d anti corruption songs, one tends to get confuse because those are all corrupt govt officials & past looters of states resources and d manner they are going about seeking dis change is very questionable I still maintain that d party with d real change dat we seek is has not bn form and certainly not by these set of criminals |

Why do you people like sentiments above objectivity? so he must be voted again because he is from a minority group. What a hollow thinking and mentality? Was he not the same minority man, Nigerians from all works of life, religion and ethnic groups voted for in 2011? why was his minority status not important then. If in your own opinion, you feel he outperformed OBJ and Yar Adua, it is your exclusive view and you are entitled to it. Others think he is the worst and most clueless and corrupt president we ever had. They are entitled to their opinions too. However, what are your yardstick for measuring him against the 2 previous administrations? Stop basing your judgement on sentiments and dwell on objectivity, facts and figures. |

relchange:You are a bastadr for mentioning Obasanjo alongside a failed leader. All our past Presidents be it Abacha, Tafawa Balewa, Gowon, IBB are from minority ethnic groups. Obasanjo revolutionised Banking, Telecommunication, Agriculture and stock exchange. The power sector he initiated has remained stagnant since he left. I am sure it will start working when Buhari cones in. |
