You PDP jokes?

Who is in charge of FUTO? The Federal Ministry of Education....which is under PDP control.

Are you now saying that Buhari has been president of this country since 2011....and GEJ was just pretending to be oga?

An Open Letter To Nigerian Universities Commission By The 2014 Graduates Of E.V.T FUTO

We came in like other students optimistic that after five years, we'd be leaving for the compulsory NYSc and then proceed with our life's plans.

We met the Environmental Technology Department under the School of Engineering and Engineering Technology (S.E.E.T.) as an already accredited course of study, the combo was weird though.

IN the beginning of our 3rd year, instruction came that we would resume in a new site with new buildings(the best FUTO can boast of) fully equipped for environmental education, we just had our own faculty SCHOOL OF ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY (S.O.E.T.) comprising EVT,URP, SVG, ARC,BMT et al, we went with mixed feelings.

By final year, we learnt that our department lost accreditation with the movement and since 2012, none of our graduates have gone for nysc.

The mgt. of the faculty says the school have been ready and are still waiting for the NUC till today

On 8th Dec 2014, we were sent forth as students who were found worthy in character and learning, was it to join our ancestors to wait? We therefore implore and solicit the NUC to please carry out this accreditation exercise so that the graduates could move on with their lives.

THANK YOU.

your school should be yhe people you should be disturbing and not NUC. I dont think NUC comes and does anything these days if the school does not grease their palms... Now, This is a fact!

If you graduated from mme before 2006 with a second class upper...

Nice to see that you acknowledge Buhari as President of your country. That means that you do not regard GEJ as your president...and as such....this becomes a serious matter.

Good evening.

I really feel for these students, cos its not a funny situation. However, this calls for an eye opener to the Jambites to really research very well before choosing a course and institution to study. Cos if they knew beforehand about this situation,I guess they would have withdrawn from the course or institution.

did you read where i said it was accredited when we came in untill 3rd yr we became a faculty comprising of newly created depts. Dat were still young to be accredited
we were not told the demerits of being upgraded from a dept to a faculty, atleast we'd have been ready

Abiagirl777, EVT sent those that graduated in 2012 for service by June 2013. Those affected are 2013 class. I feel your pains tho. We all know FUTO is a.k.a federal university of tension and overload.

If APC is to blame for a federal university and the NUC having issues....then that means you think APC is in charge of the Federal Govt.

Your argument would have had more sense if it was an Imo state owned university like IMSU, or IMT. Not FUTO which is run by Abuja.

Again...blaming APC means that you recognize Buhari as your President.

Perhaps Nigeria is not progressing because we love to blame our mistakes on others.

An Aesop is there...somewhere.

Good evening..

Lol!! Indigenes drive to rent houses to students -

Hoteliers drive to outdo others in the business -

these are mostly behind the wahala of tertiary education in Imo state, the wahala arising from massing up about a hundred and twenty thousand students around one small town, as if no land exists elsewhere in the state outside this Owerri.

Good evening..

PDP govt appears more insensitive. it carries on expansion of tertiary education facilities in Imo state, including in FUTO only in already crowded Owerri; and despite the opposition from a few indegenes who now understand that enough is enough, and despite the cry of other areas in Imo state to benefit from the expansion.

My last intern is also facing this problem and she is not finding it funny.

Worst is she was one of the best graduating students last year (Or the best I think from that department). Let us hope this is resolved.

Besides, the senate and administrators of the school need to be up and doing on the matter.

By the time they go for youth service and pass out, most will be above 24-26 years and may not

be able to apply when openings are available. I advice that most of them find something to do.

1. For those who want to practice, find a consulting firm or something to develop your skills. Or assist any of your

lecturers on research activities etc.

2. You can use the opportunity to go for some courses like NEBOSH, IOSH, ISPON etc.

3. If you are business inclined start a business or get involved in one.

4. Learn a vocation.

5. Get a part-time job

6. For those who want to further their studies, start preparing for your masters or something.

I mean get out there. While you hope and pray, just keep busy and make good use of the wait. It is important you do not remain stagnant or the way you are today when this is finally resolved.

Expansion time for tertiary institutions in Owerri, indegenes of Owerri and landlords fight every govt that tried to expand education institutions and facilities to other places in the state outside Owerri.

FUTO problems, like the one in question, usually revolve around the same problems in having five or so universities and polytechnics in Imo state with a student population of about a hundred and twenty thousand, all massed up in and around a small town like Owerri.

oga whats ur point??have yu been to futo b4?dont say owerri is a small town, even if it is,d compound of futo is very large..so i dont see ur point
