The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is considering opening talks to convince Liverpool winger, Jordon Ibe, to play for the country's national team, supersport.com have reported report.

Ibe has already represented England at Under-18, 19 and 20 levels since 2012, but the Nigerian FA has in the past weeks discussed the matter of approaching the 19-year-old of possibly featuring for the Super Eagles.

A member of the NFF Technical and Development Committee, Victor Ikepba, this week, revealed the football federation is mulling over offering Ibe a full international career.

Ikpeba, a former Nigerian international, explained why he believes that Ibe will be a good addition to the national team.

Why didnt he get the opportunity at the under 17 or 20 level? oh I forgot we used the over 25yrs then, I cant say one is better than the other because Englands will only use him just to prevent him playing for Nigeria but playing for Nigeria has less benefits as well

Bros try use ur brain small Nah!! he was born and bred in England, he was unknown to Nigerians till he started playing for Liverpool this season!! Also, Nigeria Begged Gabriel Agbonlahor of Aston Villa to come and play for Nigeria but he refused, England used him once or twice and dumped him. At least he would have won a Nation's cup trophy and played in 2 world cups with Nigeria. same with Charlton Cole of West Ham.
