I enjoy playing blitz, its one of my strongest points back then in college.
I don't think it would kill your 'classic game', but to me it actually helps u think faster when playing deep thoughts... Unlike deep thoughts when plan 10 to 15 games ahead before even making ur first move, blitz let's you experiment.. Talking exhibitions tho not the tournament.

Actually it does, too much of it. It has to be in moderation.

i know someone who plays blitz so well but performs poorly in deep thought, he finds it difficult to settle down to play deep thoughts. He is always in a rush when playing, it has really affected him.

blitz chess will fit u both , you don't need to think too much but you got to play fast and think fast. Timer is involved, sometimes even more fun than the normal classic deep thought chess. Too much of it though can somehow spoil your classic chess game.

Guys abeg, a little patience. First, i don't think we are in the same time zones. Second, chess can take as long as possible, so far as both players have an understanding of the game. I know chess games that have been played for years! But abeg, I'm not saying dablazor and I will play for years.
