OBJ with his acerbic, vindictive and sardonic attitudes should be left alone ![]() All these moves are not needed at this time. His cynical and acrimonious life style has eaten deep into him. ![]() I see these as a waste of time. |

Why are you people talking as if you are not educated? Lamido will never do that, he is a credible politician. He is practising politics of no bias. He just said the truth, no matter what happens between father and son, even if the father is at fault, son will still beg the father. that is the truth and lamido said it all. He made them what they are today through politics including GEJ. he (Baba) solitary made Jonathan what he is today. From Deputy gov, to gover, and from gov to vice President and finallt to president. Please Lamido has done no harm. |

Indomie generation claiming OBJ only has one vote. You nonentities are the reason why PDP will loose this election. Obansajo brought Jonathan from Nowhere. Forced him on northerner when Yaradua died. Obasanjo broke the back of Hausa/Fulani power brokers,. Yet you slowpokes rubbish him. You guys just gave APC free ride. Ignoramus |

What many nigerians may not realise is that obj as at today is a very angry and frustrated man. This is because the kind of attention and euphoria he expected to follow that incident isn't coming. He must have thought that pdp govs ,senators and co will be rushing to him and be begging him but alas noone is even looking at his side and he is been made to look stupid and childish. Even apc has tactically withdrew from associating with him since that incident because they won't want obj to be labelled as an apc member. Baba is virtually alone now. No minister, senator or any politician that has political ambition will associate with him now. He is like a leper now who has been cast outside in the cold. |

Common sense is lacking. A coupist dictator who cut short democracy, killed innocent Nigerian youth and massively disrespected human rights is suddenly the saint who wants to redeem the country! ![]()

If Obasanjo could not make his daughter win election in 2011, then what makes him think he is still relevant today? He is just an expired politician. |

Many of u folks screaming Obasanjo is not relevant are non carrying card member of PDP, u lot talk as if u are in the circle and coffers of the PDP...One thing is certain, the way the ruling party has handle their internal affairs has cost them lots of their power and ammunition...I don't like Obasanjo even though he is from my tribe but the presidency shud have handle his own affair very well before its degenerate to this...PDP's lose is the APC's gain. |

The most ignorant people are the ones attacking Chief Oluṣẹgun Mathew Okikiọla Arẹmu Ọbasanjọ, GCFR. And I really feel very sorry for ignorant people, because ignorance kills intelligence. The bad news for President Goodluck Jonathan and his bad advisers is the fact that they don't know the camaraderie of Nigerian military generals and the history of Yoruba custom and tradition of which I am an expert being the son of a former Nigerian soldier and a revered IFA and Ogun High Priest. You offend one, you offend all. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo presently is the greatest living Nigerian political leader recognized worldwide and no matter the nonsense ignorant fools are saying about him, he is the first Nigerian President to establish anti corruption agencies, the Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC), (in full the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission) inaugurated on the 29th of September 2000 and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2003 and doing that means a lot, because it shows that he is ready to fight corruption even if doing so will also put him on trial. Whereas the whole world knows President Goodluck Jonathan's administration as grossly corrupt and incompetent Former US Secretary of State, Senator Hilary Clinton said: "Nigeria under President Goodluck Jonathan has squandered oil wealth and has bred massive corruption." In 2008, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo was appointed by the United Nations as a special envoy for Africa and has since overseen democratic elections on behalf of the African Union and Ecowas in countries across the continent "Olusegun Obasanjo was Nigeria's military head of state (1976-9) and President (1999-2007). His career is made the focus for a history of Nigeria's first fifty years of independence (1960-2010) and of African continental affairs during the same period (Obasanjo having been an active opponent of apartheid and an architect of the African Union). The most important African leader of his generation, Obasanjo has had an extraordinarily diverse career as soldier, politician, statesman, farmer, author, political prisoner, Baptist preacher, and family patriarch. As a soldier, he secured the victory in Nigeria's civil war. As military head of state, he returned the country to civilian rule. For the next 20 years he was ceaselessly active, before spending three years as a political prisoner." "I thank former President Obasanjo for finding me suitable to take up the sensitive post of Minister of Defence at a young age. I learnt a lot from him, being one of the founders of modern “digital” Nigeria."Coming to his powerful status as a leading traditional Yoruba leader, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, is the Balogun and Prime-Minister of Owu Kingdom and only ignorant people don't know the magnitude of this great title and the Pan Yoruba influence. He is their hero and he can command thousands of followers. Those saying he has only one vote and did not even win his ward for the PDP in previous elections, forget that Owu people would have preferred him to join the leaders of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), formerly known as Action Congress (AC) that offered Yorubas more than the People's Democratic Party (PDP) and are now very happy that their hero has finally dumped the PDP. A very wise decision by a fearless "Balogun" Prime Minister. Yes, he has one vote. But one vote can dictate the fate of an election, because one vote is enough to trigger a domino effect that will be the game changer in the 2015 general elections. That is why political endorsement is not taken for granted.

Well, to me Lamido is just a very powerful orator. He has spoken well. While many Nigerians will see Obasanjo as having about 65 to 70% of a kind of unforgiven spirit, I and many other Nigerians will not agree that he can comfortably tear his membership card because the above per centage ratings are enough to produce self control and about the total normal systen any complete person can possess.. Can any Nigerian ever agree that Obasanjo can consciously tear off his membership card? I means what on earth can push that man, think of his age, his experience about practical live, especially his fame? It is not a joking matter. What has GEJ done to him that will warrant Obasanjo, as at today behave that way? Abeg leave matters! Lamido is a close associate of Obasanjo trying to also tell us that he is OBJ's boy and that he is still attached to him. Otherwise Lamido knows that what Obasanjo did is the highest degree of foolishness. Nigerians, including apc members are very ashamed of such old man. There is practically nothing in Obasanjo that one could be proud of. Am sure that the option of beg Lamido is talking about is just, to some extent ensure that what is left of Obasanjo is kept going so as to avoid total colapse of the 'same Nigerian' concept and relationship, otherwise, I will never advise any body to beg that man. He is either completely taken over by demon or Obasanjo is being controlled by certain things an ordinary man will not explain. Allow him to go where he wants. By God's grace, nothing will happen to any Nigerian. The Almighty will never permit him to cut this country down. Amen |

Flets:Very correct. And why would I be surprised that Lamido is acting his role well? Obasanjo even trumped him up for presidency earlier in the day before Jonathan's smarter moves edged him out. I know GEJ is not stupid that he would not know the likes of Lamido who praised GMB at a campaign rally recently. So he can go and 'beg' his godfather but he is OHO! No doubt OBJ is influential but I think he is over-rating himself of late. Things have changed teh-teh. |
