* the best thing is to scan it first then laminate it, this will prepare u for d unexpected circumstances. like total loss, if GMB had soft copy of his certificate,it would have prevent #show us ur certificate by pdp an others pls let learn from what happen to GMB. also to prevent damages from Rat,water,kids etc |

In my time scanning was for big company execs so i laminated. bad mistake.. when you try to scan a laminated certificate, the reflection from the laminate on the scanner glass distorts everything so it is useless. hand to go request for a replacement copy ... FROM THE MILITARY BOARD! |

U can except ur NYSC discharge certificate... because it won't be accepted in abroad if its been laminated. Don't ask me Y cos I didn't ask d prof dat told me. So if u hav d intention of farwarding ur academics in abroad, then don't laminate it. |

I would advise using transparent plastic document jackets that are widely available now. It equally preserves the document without the permanent damage of lamination. If it needs to be presented to an organization that doesnt accept laminated documents, you can always bring it out safely and return it after the sighting. funny i was just thinking about it. its best u scan and send a copy to ur mail. keep the original in a file, store in a cool, dry place(lol)... not convincing enough.....laminate...doesnt matter as long as u have an e-copy xx |

Save it in email, make copy and put original in large enough zip lock bag or similar durable plastic/polytene bag. |

I've been looking for that plastic documents jacket I've not seen good one to buy the one I have is A4 size. and most of my duc some laminated are bigger than a4. any where to buy bigger ones in Lagos here? |

It's not good cause Lamination can look kind of tacky, and while it might protect the paper from moisture, over the years, the plastic may become discoloured or peel off at the corners or in bubbles, and the adhesive may damage the paper or ink. My advice is that you keep them safe in a plastic wallet folder. That's where I keep mine and they are as brand as new 1 Like 1 Share |
