The Nigerian military shouldn't just defeat the terrorists alone, they should also find out their sponsors and where they buy the arms.I believe those countries who refuses to sell arms to Nigerian govt to fight insurgency are the ones arming the terrorists through the back door. |

omowolewa:Your comment simply portrays you as nothing more than an average illiterate tomato seller in mushin market. It is your type who continue to advertise their low IQ on social media. GEJ will win the elections overwhelmingly because he has shown to be far better all the former heads of states of nigeria put together. |

If you are Voting, remember; If you support PDP, you are paid to do so and apparently a thief; But if you support APC, you are a patriot who is fighting for Nigeria. If an APC governor award a km of road for N1.2billion, he is prudent and God sent; If a PDP governor award same km of road for N500million, he is a thief. If Fani Kayode joins PDP, he is bastard; If Atiku joins APC, he is a democrat. If Jonathan spends N7billion for his office par year, he is a criminal; If Fashola spend same amount in a year, he is a saint. If Akpabio approves N200Million as pension, he must be stoned; If Fashola approved N300million for Tinubu he is a change agent. If you cancelled toll gate as PDP government, you are an enemy of progress; But if you build a road in Lagos, with tax payers money and toll the road, you are genius. If you increase school fees as PDP government, you must be crucified; If you do same as APC government, there must be a reason, cuz Education is not cheap anywhere in the world. If you share Okada to the poor as PDP, you are poor peoples enemy; If you ban Okada after election as an APC government, you are only helping the poor to stay alive, so you mean well. If you single handedly make your daughter a market woman leader in APC state, it is for the progress of the people; But if your wife is made a permanent secretary in your state by your state government of PDP, you are a greedy fellow. If you spend N16billion on electricity without power and then support APC, you a navigator; If you raise N500million through unbundling of same power, you are clueless. If you fail to pay your workers for a month, but in APC, it is not your fault but someone up there; But if you failed to pay your worker for a month and still in PDP, you are wicked human being. If you force your family, in-law and girlfriends as senators and lawmakers on the rest of the party members, you a progressive leader; But if you act like you don't care in PDP, you are dullard If you tried to get a third term fraudulently by bribing the legislatures but failed, then support APC, you are democrat and the father of the nation; If you try to get a constitutional second term in PDP, without their blessings, you an ingrate and silly. In their time we had Halliburton scandal, ID card scandal, Siemens scandal, we have subsidy scam scandal, we have national stadium contract scandal, we have health budget financial scam, aviation sector scam, we had power sector scandal. How many people did he jail to prove he fought corruption? Rather EFCC was his big stick against his perceived enemies. In their time we had a sitting governor kidnapped by a thug working for the president. We had a whole region of the country rigged in favor of his party. Morris Ibekwe, a wanted international fraud star won election under PDP. They are part of those who stole Nigerians blind under PDP; Atiku, Obasanjo, Baraje, Saraki, Wammako, Kwankwaso, Amaechi, Oyinlola, Segun Oni, Okorocha, Ngige, El Rufai, etc, but are today the same people financing APC and calling for "CHANGE". Flashback to 1999, who were these people? Billionaires ? They where nobody. Today, they spend billions and no one dare to ask a question. If you do you are enemy of progress. They started with "New PDP" when that didn't fly, they joined a cult group called ACN to become APC. Same character with different nam |

Before recent developments, the level of professionalism exhibited by the military in this BH war was at its lowest. There were varying accounts of soldiers been given 60 bullets each to go and confront BH, and soon after these soldiers ran out of ammunition, would abandon a base loaded arms and ammunition which their bosses had refused to issue to them. The abandoned bases became the source of weapons for BH. The above scenario led people to speculate that the army were deliberately sabotaging the war. Also other accounts held that the army boys really had a poor level of coordination with the airforce and other security operatives, leading to disjointed information and massive defeats and casualty. Recently they have upped their game. Kudos to them for this. But they must also be chided for taking so long to get it right. |

johncreek:You are partly correct. What has changed is that BH have nowhere to run to anymore. Chad, cameroon and Niger are no longer safe havens so BH have no other options than to stand and fight and are thus getting hammered by the NA. |

SaiBuharii:I also insist you hold Buhari and APC responsible for knowing the solution to BH and waiting to get to Aso Rock before sharing it. You cannot just barge into another mans' house because you are chasing a thief without his permission. The international dimension BH took was their undoing, it forced the neighbouring countries to get involved, now the NA have a target to face and not a group of hit and run terrorists |
| Re: DHQ: Military Captures Arms Caches Abandoned By Fleeing Boko Haram by zomoears(m): 9:57am On Feb 23, 2015 |
elujah1:I beg to differ here. Firstly, how many denials have the army issued concerning this issue of equipment? When media was awash with news that BH was better equiped, what did Olukolade say? That they had all they needed to defeat BH. Secondly, the issue was that the C-in-C refused to act like he was in charge. The Generals were making money from the war and didn't want it to end. He refused to put his foot down decisively on the matter. Even before the re-tooling of the military began last year, they had the capacity to end the war decisively but the big boys were interested in making money. Now with the re-tooling, they big boys have made so much money now through defence contracts, they are willing to end the war cos they don chop belle full. Of the $1bn dollars Jona budgeted for them, they go make over $100m. So why won't they end the war? Afterall, they don hammer. |

Nigerians are so proud and have a reputable regards for the Nigeria Army even when they seems loosing the war. All the same, we thank you our GALLANT BRAVE MEN for restoring peace in our land, But I still have my doubt which is beyond conviction and if the government fail to reveal the real sponsor's of BH, then I will be convinced the government is behind this whole insurgency. |

I salute the Nigerian Army. But this pictures are not convincing. This is just a plot to put our mind at ease the same way they published picture of shekau being shot which was a lie. We want videos, convincing pictures and d likes. Have people for once asked about the list of fallen soldiers? They won't because it will draw back the progress of GEJ campaign which he is using this six weeks cover up to do. The real anti terror fights start may 30 2015 saiBuhari saibaba march4Buhari |

so the pdp led government had to wait till election time before they took a decisive step in combating this menance, making our soldiers look incompetent all this while, while thousands of civilian lost their lives, i never doubted our military for once, i just doubted the puppet master who held the strings. Well since they wanted it fresh im our minds that they can bring peace during elections, it is definitely fresh that the only time they choose to care is when they need our vote. May the blood of thousands of human lives that wasted because you delibrately chose to wait till election time be upon your head and may god's vengeaance start with you gej. |

nigerians are so dim witted always making jonathan look like he can't hurt a fly. When formal late nsa general azazi came 'god rest his soul' came out and said it was pdp that was behind boko haram and he mysteriously died in a helicopter crash along with the then kaduna state governor. No body could think deep and even be suspicious that probably the man was killed for the information he knew about the pdp. Anyway for those of you that are afraid of change and prefer to remain under a stagnant pdp. Goodluck to u. But know this. For each of one of you that wants the status quo, there are 10,000 of us that want change because we are not afraid of change and if the change we bring is not satisfactory, we will bring change again because it is the right thing to do, we are tired of managing. 16yrs. Nothing significant to show. Doing the samething over and over again and wanting a diff result is pure madness. Albert einstein. A word is enough for d wise. |
