pls nairalander,i have a plan of starting a gift items shop where i can sell items dt can be desribute in parties or any occation but i dnt know where i can buy in bulk since i also want to sell in whole sale.pls kindly put me thr.

Get a good location with ample space. If you have the fund, make the interior comfortable for shoppers to be able to move freely because gift items require buyers to take time to make buying decisions. Display of items is very important for sales. People will buy a #10 spoon displayed in a show case for #50. Start with mostly non perishable items first until you have established good customer base. Electronics items are tricky, except you have enough funding and know what to buy.

Buy from different whole sellers so that you can have varieties of wares. Stores in Lagos Island would have many in demand items but if you know your way around Lagos, importers bringing their goods to ware houses sell at cheaper price and with that, you would find many new UK, US household items that you can't get else where.
