Last week a topic of fake 1000 been dispensed by atm was posted here and few believed while others said maybe the Op made it up since this machines are programmed to destroy fake currencies when detected.
23rd of February I made a withdrawal of 5000 naira from the first Bank atm located at harbour road port Harcourt.
I didn't spend the money since them because of the nature of my job.
Today when I got back to town I went to an eatery and made payment after my purchase, the cashier returned my money and said it was fake, I rebuffed it and decided to compare it with the other notes, alas it was fake by comparison, I spent 1k from it on the day of withdrawal and right now 2 out of 4 is fake.
I will not be going to the bank to lay complaints cos of time but I just want you all to be aware and cross check the note dispensed to you especially if they look mint.

The gold seal is glittering on the original but the fake looks dark and doesn't glitter

I will advise you all to be careful and cross check any notes dispensed to u as not to fall victim like I did.
This election period funny things are happening so be careful.
I will destroy this note cos I don't want it back in circulation.
