I do not have a view of their loan portfolio sir. One thing i am certain is that the yardsticks for provisioning and write offs must be followed religiously. If you dont, the auditors will do it for you. Where the auditors dont, CBN will do it. So if the politicians are owing them, they must be a way of managing those credits. Jesus! I personally knew this man when he headed their 9th Mile Branch. Suddenly stopped seeing him. Didn't know he'd transferred to Benin.

Always knew him as an unassuming fellow (had never seen him in a suit all the period I'd known him despite him being a BM).

Even if they can and actually do it, the case is already in court and must proceed. The victim's relations will see to the end of it.

This will be one hell of an interesting case. But I thought banks have a legal department whose job is to advice appropriately before taking any action(s).

My brother, the Bank is not good to be pitied, they show no mercy sometimes. Can you imagine in one of the banks, someone is currently serving a suspension without pay for "reporting fraud late". It beats me.

Did the investigation Department of this bank conducted an INVESTIGATION of the case or simply passed a JUSTIFICATION report to the Management of the bank precipitating in a wrong move on the guy. I asked because I once worked in this bank. I was sacked because I faulted a report made by this Department where a staff was going to be sacked for the wrong reason. Interestingly myself and the guy were both sacked. That Investigation Department is the problem of this bank. I believe the wrong move was made on the BM because the Management of the bank was mislead by this department.
