President Jonathan should turn the rest of his rallies to NeverAgain campaign against Boko Haram! And support of our troops! At your rallies tell true life stories of our soldiers and the sacrifices they are making to keep Nigeria one and challenge the rest of the country to support our troops Never Again! |

Nigerians will blame everybody except themselves. because we don't tell ourselves the truth, we can not be united like the Cameroonians. How many times have we taking it upon ourselves to pray for our Army and support them. |

hensben:Gej was slow against d boko boys dat i know but at d same time there were factors that play out leading to all that At first d northern elders and politicians were protecting them and at a point even buhari went as far as saying an attack on boko haram is an attack against d north Had Gej employ d use of full scale military force it would hv bn seen as attacking d north even we up south would hv join to condemn some of his actions |

hakanai:U honestly, sincerely and objectively couldn't ve analysed d situation better! GEJ tot that by allowing BH to triumph significantly against his government he ll succeed in weeping up d sentiments of nigerians against his perceived opponents! He succeeded in doin that to an extent! But his all-round failure in oda aspect of government, caused d ppl to turn against him! If I were GEJ I wud fire all my advisers! |

dealslip:Dats exactly wot am saying here, we are always looking for a scapegoat, when will we rise up to take responsibilities for our actions and inactions? We hv a role to play as citizens of dis nation especially in dis present situation |

hensben:See what I mean. They just can't find their role as seperate from that of government. Your type should not be on this thread. Are those Camerounians satisfied with their government led by Paul Biya. Probably not but they still play their role to support their institutions above ALL INDIVIDUALS. This is the key to nationhood. It wasn't Kennedy's army when they were trashed in the Bay of Pigs. It wasn't Carter's Army that failed the hostages in Iran. It wasn't Bush's Army's misadventure in Iraq and Afghanistan. It was the United States Army. Yes the C in C's took responsibility for the results but the people of America continue to respect their men and women in uniform and NEVER, NEVER play politics WHEN THEY ARE ENGAGED IN WARS no matter who sent them, for what reasons and no matter the successes or failures encountered. Leave politics to when the last soldier is out of harms way and is back to his family like the rest of us. In the military it is called mutiny. In civil life it is called insurrection. It is bad. |

In a time of adversity it is the duty of the leader to galvanize every element of the state towards conquering the situation without creating schism. But, GEJ's approach is suicidal, right from the inception, all that apparently interest him is how to make maximum political gain from such catastrophic situation. That could possibly explain the current victory, when he realized Defeat is staring him at the face. Cameroun leaders got it right hence the seamless support. |

The same cameroon that colluded with its franco- semi islamic neighbors (chad and niger) to mock nigeria while boko haram elements used its porous borders to carry out hit and run attacks in nigerian territories. Nigeria should as a nation wake up from its slumber, we have neighbors who are filled with sheer envy. They exploited our weak and corrupt system, turned us into a horror movie show, mocking our military. Alas, BH start to carry out murderous attacks on their land, they mobilise support for their troop (something we as a nation should learn from). While nigeria would extend a helping hand to countries in need of help(sierra leone, liberia, sudan, south africa, congo), these ingrate neighbors would rather watch us torn to piece. Has anyone stopped to ask why BH start to lose this war when other nations around us block their flank which they depended on to carry out fluid attacks on our soil. Nigerians, we have no other place but nigeria to call home.Let us be proud of our nation and our troops. |

U see united nation? The worst thing to have ever happened to nigeria after civil war is apc. Apc gave boko haram thriving ground, and thats the reason why they hard their best play here. Imagine comments like ''a fight against bh is a fight against the north. Boko haram should be granted amnesty like ND millitants'' |

Esperooke:Nobody is begging you to support the country or the military. The Camerounians are in solidarity with their forces and you chose to go political by default. If you cannot support the country because you don't like the President then patriotism is far from you. Does every soldier fighting and dying like Jonathan. Are they fighting for him. They are fighting for you and me so I advice you to stop this political nonsense and remove it from issues of national importance. A people under threat donot need to be encouraged to recognize the danger and act accordingly. Most wars America undertake enjoy bipartisan support. When it comes to security they know no politics. Wake up. |
