I want to use this medium to wish all a happy and a loving month of march 2015. To all my fellow nairalanders i wish them the best with God's blessings.

The month of march which is the month of "TOTAL VICTORY" we all shall be victorious in all are endeavors. So in this great month of March, demonstrate the true love of God by sharing gifts with one another and showing forgiveness and concern for
others.
Don't forget this is the month Nigerians will decide who they want as president in general election so stay out of trouble and cast your vote wisely.

let love speaks from your heart today and forever.
Above all don't forget to wish me and your love ones
a happy new month. l love you all.

All these happy new month, happy Sunday, happy Monday and the other happys sef. Does it mean if someone is having a bad day and we tell them happy whatever they automatically become happy? Should one become happy (may be they are sad due to their life problems or as bad that they haven't eaten and don't even have food to eat) just because someone told them happy Monday, Sunday etc. Or is it an act of since some people are saying it let me join the bandwagon? Just thinking aloud sha.

Birthdays comes once in a year and marriage is mostly once in a lifetime. They are rare moments and I think deserve special recognition so it is expected (and rightly so) they should be celebrated. But we have countless Sunday's and many months and sometimes I don't understand why we give it some special recognition.

Aside that, the concern I raised is, what's the purpose of all the happy this and that especially with Sunday's or new month. These almost daily salutations were not there about say 10years ago and we still had happy Sunday's etc etc. And does telling people happy Sunday, Monday etc have any positive effect in how their day should be or the outcome of it.

I have no problem with it, I am also guilty too. But I was just trying to weigh in on what is the actual meaning of it.

Lol! Not a fight bro. My understanding of the whole thing could be wrong and I am hoping someone come to prove me wrong. Just a friendly dialogue, we all learn new things from here.

May be I should open a topic on it sha but I don't ever intend on breaking my rules that I don't want to create thread on NL. Sounds stupid but still a principle I intend to uphold.

Happy Sunday to you too bro wink
