Let me educate you. Once you have not been convicted by a competent and legal court(which you can even appeal), you are innocent. Confessing to a crime does not mean you actually did it, you can refute your claim by arguing you made it under duress or for the fact you were the prime suspect at the crime scene and words couldn't bail you out, so you had to give in. .
