Barely a week after the Benue State House of Assembly asked Governor Gabriel Suswam’s aides to offer valid explanations on the salaries owed workers, general financial status and revenue generation of the state, a seeming disagreement has ensued between the lawmakers, LEADERSHIP has gathered. The lawmakers had summoned the commissioner of finance, Omadachi Oklobia, the chairman of Benue Internal Revenue Service (BIRS), Gabriel Asen and the special adviser to the governor on local government, Solomon Wombo to appear before it by today. However, there was tension yesterday as the legislators were obviously in a serious disagreement on whether to forge ahead with the probe or compel the state governor to settle the salary arrears...
