It is a disorder....and it is not restricted to old age....some cases happen in people below the age of 50.

Also there are various types of dementia. The most ''popular'' is Alzheimer.

Like I said...exercise, constant learning, and good diet can help.(a cause is blockages in the blood supply to your brain due to high cholesterol)

Yeah, I know about Alzheimer but I've never thought it to be a variant of Dementia. Good think I exercise a lot though. Thanks

Sexual disorders
Yes, sexual disorders are a major reason to see a psychiatrist. And the reason is simple when you think about it: once you rule out sexual problems caused by physical conditions, all that’s left is problems of behaviour. Which other doctor can you think of who would handle that?

Bedwetting
Almost everyone knows someone who used to bedwet. (Or maybe even still does.) And although there are all kinds of ways people try to address bedwetting, most people I’ve met don’t seem to even consider psychiatric help as an option. But once you rule out physical causes, bedwetting (or enuresis, as we call it) is totally a behavioural problem.

in short one can say to a bedwettin naughty boy "u deh mad ni!" or laddies can say the same to their hubbies wehn they cum too early grin

Other mental health problems include :Complaining of bizarre symptoms. "my head is pulling me, my head is biting me I am feeling internal heat etc"

paying tithes in the hope this will lead to wealth, Shouting strangely in church claiming to be speaking in "tongues", unusual beliefs e.g. "I have been jazzed" Someone took my hair,toenails etc. Believing Nollywood Magic. In Short next to the asylum the next place with a high percentage of mental health problems is Pentecostal churches

He failed to mention the most common yet disregarded mental health problem

Depression

Depression is a psychological problem that affects about 1 in 4 people and has been identified as the third most prevalent moderate and severe disabling condition globally by the World Health Organization.

There is no known main cause of depression as it can stem from an environmental, genetic, social , physiological point.

A WHO report states that Depression if left untreated will be the second cause of disability and premature death by the year 2020.

Hence ,when people are feeling constantly sad ,worried, apathetic and cannot do anything about it so much that is impairs their normal activities ,they should be encouraged to get help from mental health experts.
