Four persons suspected to be cultists yesterday raped an 18-year-old-girl along the Gwegwe area of Yenagoa Local Government Area of Bayelsa State at gunpoint.

According to report, the victim, identified as Blessing Richards, was attacked at about 11pm while returning from a visit to a friend in the area.

LEADERSHIP gathered that the suspected rapists gagged their victim and dragged her into a lonely building in the area. She was later abandoned after the dastardly act.

Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, Asinim Butswat, said the victim identified one of the suspected rapists and reported to the area division of the police.

“We have arrested one Godfrey Igbare, who was identified as being one of the rapists. We are on the trail of others involved in the criminal act,” he said.

It never a justification to be raped
There can't be any justification to be raped

But, the area is prone to cultist and gangster....... So, it better for one to be vigilant and avoid anything that could warrant it
Than for you to be a prey to those guys..............

First an for most...... My siblings don't move around during such odd hours
My siblings don't live in areas which aren't safe just like that place which is well know for cultism, bunkering and militancy



So, I still maintain my earlier stand that she knows the area aren't safe, she would have leave her friends place early....... Because prevention is the best option than leaving your life for probabilities
