When is an expectant mother suppose to start her antenatal programme. Plz ur advice and contributions ar needed. |

luvprince4real:After 3 months is what is generally recommended. This is because, the risk of spontaneous miscarriage drops significantly after the first trimester. However, she can commence folic acid supplementation daily to help prevent neurological abnormalities in the foetus, such as spina bifida. No other drugs are recommended during the first trimester, esp the 1st 10wks, except as otherwise prescribed by a qualified medical doctor |
