no research paper have I! but u need to really understand the term GRID very well before leaping into its application in the banking industry.as regards grids in banking...the application is endless

I think i've gotten d understanding more than halfway at the least...from what i understand, grid computing collects the various resources of computer systems on the network, thereby multiplying the overall efficiency of one system on the grid since d system uses the collected resources, instead of just it's own....what do u think?

look into the current troubles faced by banks in their respective situations and devise how you plan to solve this using a distributed system sharing the same resources
