hmmm, the unfortunate thing is none of my land is near the river and all of them is in the bush, not secured. I cnt afford to buy another land now and still dig borehole. just bought 200plots this last month, if I had seen this thread b4 then I for use the cash for fishing (it would have been more than enuf to start it big way)

it will cost me more if am to do fishing in the land
1, no security, the land is in the bush, need money to secure the place
2, no river close, money for borehole,
3, earth or concrete pond, etc. I can't bear them now
tho its still possible sha I can still start after I might have sell my maize and others

I understand u oooooo my question is that non of d plot of land av little stream niiii hmmmm or small water ooo and besides if d land is good for pond u will even see water when u are digging hmmmm.

the land have water area as boundary but it is dry now, water only flows in d rainy season. d major problem is security. sir are any place close to Ilorin?

but most cases i use keproceryl instead of tetracycline.
but next tym try and do preventive measure wit dat solution from week 1 after hatching

am really learning a lot.
i lost 6 of them 2days ago. i was 'feeding the pond' instead of feeding the fish .

one day after changing water, i noticed d water was smelling and flies were flying close to d pond (plastic drum). .the fishes were 'standing ' with their heads to the surface of the water. it was an abnormal behaviour bt i didnt change d water cos i was rushing off to work andi didnt believe it was water issue having changed d water a day ago.

i came back from work arnd 6pm and rushed to change d water. i saw 4 were stone dead already. i removed them from the tank . i transfered the fish to d bigger pond (tank). after dt, i noticed 2 were hanging. i left them in d pond hoping dt they were in coma and will get up b4 morning. the next morning i saw them stone dead. i fed the others dt morning. after feeding them, i told myself i shldnt have fed them. so i didnt feed them dt evening. dt evening, i.mixed a table spoon of multivitamin - fishvitplus in water and put in the pond.

i fed them the multivitamin again this morning. if you see d way they were rushing food while feeding them onehour later , so funny. They have never eaten like this since i bought them. I have also learnt how to feed them. i will also.need to.leqrn how to handle the fish as i believe d extra 2 dt died after transfering to d bigger pond (gp tank) was as a result of rough handling. i noticed it had bruise n d head .

when next i stock, i will give them multivitamins same day and feed the next day.

currently, some are double the size of the others.
