IVORY2009:The budget didnt quote brand new coaches. Check again my very good friend. Even if it quoted new coaches, check the price of Brent Crude and compare to our budget benchmark. Thanks for asking and thanks for accepting my analyses in advance. |

[s] Mykevp2p:[/s] It's better to put something nice and worthwhile on the ground tomorrow than put rubbish on the ground today. You people have cheap and mediocre mentality... Quality is better than quantity. Besides, we are building a complete with ten lane freeway system, BRT access and rail line. It's the largest public works system in Africa today. Now scrap along with your mediocrity from the junk yards of Siberia.... |

Okupe is right on the button. Why are these clueless people on this thread confused about this. Nigeria is the only country where the government does everything on $30 billion budget every year. This is less than bankrupt Greeks budget. A new train with 8 carriages as used in Europe is $300 million. Multiply this figure by the rolling stock, which should be at least 40. That is $12 billion. Add maintenance and servicing. Where is the money? |

aresa:Na since when aloku scrap metal don turn to quality for APCheat vocabulary ![]() He said the decommissioned cars are usually sold for scrap metal and can fetch up to $1,500 dollars each. According to the magazine. Ross declined to discuss specific figures the Lagos State government is paying, but said the price is significantly more than scrap prices, putting the potential profits to the TTC in the millions of dollars. |

aresa:You are very high on cheap skunk!! buying a 35 years old scrap train is now quality because Fashola bought them? Stop lying you hypocrite!! Fashola bought a 35 years old decommissioned cars which usually sell for $1500 each. Those were supposed to arrive in 2012 yet you have the guts to rubbish existing train made possible by a transforming president. All Fashola train achievements are on papers alone and he had 8 complete years to deliver. GEJ at only 5+ is already delivering visible results. Modified: Those Fashola trains are being phased out in Canada because of safety concerns!!! |

IVORY2009:Keep digressing, and I will follow you. Stop assuming the price of Brent Crude. State the Budget Benchmark and tell us the negative marginal fluctuation difference occasioned by exchange rate differential and do not fail to tell us how you expected the government to meet up with the shortfall while procuring emergency arsenals to fight Boko Haram to still buy you brand new trains since the ones bought is not good enough for you to board. Awaiting your response. No meandering allowed. |

[s] Mykevp2p:[/s] lmao at siberian junk is already delivering result? The only thing it's delivering is shame and embarrassment just like the okugbe clown limiting Nigeria to that ugly siberian absurdity... Our trains are in the US getting the best upgrade and modern features per international standards where by law they must deliver quality workmanship and safety guarantees.. I'd rather have the best next year than have some worthless crap today so keep quiet with that rubbish... |

aresa:And after refurbishment, where will the train run on? I thought you were asking why GEJ didn't buy new trains, why is Fashola buying 35 years old trains only to go and refurbish the interior? Your governor started a light project in 2008 with 2011 completion, now is 2015, not a single out of the two has been completed and you as happy as Larry - only if you could get off the cheap skun |
