I visit one of our distant relatives... and this morning I saw the woman, she pour salt on her hand and went straight to the bathroom to brush with the salt... so fellow NLers ..is it hygienic? is it good?

salt is actually recommended for killing bacteria in the mouth.... at times its mainly salt and warm water

Biologically, it is not advisable, because the salt is known to be harsh to enzymes and other useful bacterias found in the mouth especially the tongue.
